What a coincidence -- same technique I use for interior painting!  But much tougher when the walls don't rotate.

I discovered a better technique quite by accident.

Warn the homeowner several times to mind their very small and curious children to keep them away from your work area and that you arent going ot be responcable if they get into the paint in the rolling pans on the floor.

Then giggle when they dont cause their too busy watching their soap opera and talking about it on the phone with their grilfriend and at the really far out artwork the kid creates on the carpet,walls and formal livingroom furniture while your up on a ladder painting the crown molding and cutting in the top of the wall on the 18 foot ceiling in their entry foyor.
