that is just absolutely unbelievable. i used to do this kind of stuff and a problem from 5ft up is painfull as hell. i cant imagine what its like from 10 times that...
amazingly he gets up a few minutes later and walks off. how is this possible, i would like to know.

I watched this a load in the other thread with this in yesterday, soo lucky.
But he doesn't land on the complet flat he does land on some of the very bottom of the transition, a few more feet forward and he probably would of died.
His feet hit first, his shoes are grippy and seemed to kinda propel him slightly forward before they were flung off (probably not done up like most skaters) on landing combined with the slight bit of transition and smooth nature of a ramp meant he...
ar damn he was just hell lucky, if any one of a number of things that went in his favour had been slightly different, like landing head first, face down, a few feet further out etc etc he would of splatted.

Free-fall survival records are anyway, - way well at terminal velocity.
(I once tried 7 metres. BAM, was shaken, but not stirred :D)

there was a follow up story on the boarder who tried to fly, he went to the hospital and has a bruised lung and other bruised internal organs, fractured vertebrae and other broken bones i think.
