Post by: the Lazy ace on August 07, 2007, 11:37:38 AM: hi, im lookin for the midway map so my freind and i can shoot a movie about the actual battle. i cant find it on the internet so if any of you guys know wher i can download it, it will be much appreactiated....

navigate to the marine charts page and see if you can find the electronic chart for Midway. I'm pretty sure you can get it for free.

It doesn't surprise me that you had a hard time finding it. We try to keep upcoming terrains rather quiet until their release. I already explained to LazyAce this but for anyone following the subject; Midway is finished, but I am waiting to hear a reply from HiTech to some questions us TE folk asked about the new TE features. Once he gives us answers I will submit the map for Skuzzy to build for the online Arenas.
Since it is no secret and the map is finished, I will go ahead and post Screen Shots:

They are not actual land, but objects on water... similar to Karelia terrain coast lines.

Raptor can tell in more detail which way he put them together.

I really like the appearance of the whole thing, how Raptor has made the textures and all :aok

The same way I made the harbor shape of the cities in Japan. Yes, the land acts like land and the water acts like water.
Blauk helped me make the transitions more smooth and Dux made the lovely palm trees.
