Please send again in a more compatible format....(i.e. Word 2000 .doc file)

umm it's always been flaky with attachments, that's why the second link was created so that it used your own mail program to send things out. That seems to consistently work, but not many people use that. Wonder why?

The file attachment in that last two emails sent today were once again .DOCX format.

I'm unable to open the attachment because I do not have OFFICE 2007 or whatever new version you are using Dace. Please save it as a compatible format. Thank you Dace

Post by: Gaidin on August 09, 2007, 04:12:43 AM: Dace, just a heads up, there is a plugin from MS that will allow you to save documents as PDF from office 2007. It can be downloaded free from microsoft.com Then just save your document the way you want, then save it as a PDF with a diff name. Only drawback is you need to save it regular first just in case you need to make changes. You still cant edit the PDF without Adobe Acrobat.

Actually, there are several publishing programs out there that allow you to edit PDFs in the $50 - $100 range.. still a lot cheaper than Acrobat.

I use Art Explosion Publisher Pro 2.0, as an example.

There may be some freeware editors out there too, by now.. though there weren't when I looked a few years ago.

Just check for 'import and edit pdf files' as part of the product description.

The main point of my post was to let you know, if you did not already, that you could save as a pdf from the new office products. If they would allow you to edit them aswell that would be great, but I dont know of a way to edit pdf with it.

Except of course, copy paste into word, edit, resave as a pdf and overwrite old.

I believe I got it from the MS auto update.
