For fighters what does the stat "Kill Points" mean? What statistic is that tracking?
-
For any plane you shoot down you get points, don't ask me how much for what plane because that I don't know.
-
I notice whether you kill them with a FM2 or an Lghey, ya get the same amount points per kill (perhaps more if ya land?)
-
I think in the hangar the kill points are the "obj" value of the plane -- most planes have the same object under this heading, I think.

The OBJ value of a plane has nothing to do with it.
OBJ is used to determine perk points gained by bombing ground structures. (Similar to ENY which is used to compute perk points gained by killing planes & gvs)
So OBJ reflects more or less the air-to-ground capability of a plane.

Oooooooohhhhh....
That actually makes sense.

From the help file:
Air points = PlaneDamageScore + KillScore
PlaneDamageScore =
(DamagePointsScoredOnEnemiesTh isSortie * DeathMult) +
TotalTourPlaneDamageScoredOnE nemies
KillScore =
((AirKillsThisSortie * 1.0) + (AirAssistsThisSortie * 0.25) +
(GroundKillsThisSortie * 1.0) + (GroundAssistsThisSortie * 0.25) * DeathMult) +
TotalTourKillScore
Death Multipliers:
Landed 1.0
Discoed 0.25
Bailed 0.5
Ditched 0.75
Captured 0.4
Killed 0.25
Crashed 0.25

I need to start bailing instead of riding it to the ground I guess.

i don't know the numbers. but if we assume pilot 1 is flying a spit16 in lw, and pilot 2 is flying a 262, pilot 1 kills pilot 2, i think he gets bigger points than if it was 262 v 262. i think he also gets bigger points than if the 262 guy would've killed his spit? i think one other thing figured in is the side balancing........i think if you're on an outnumbered side, your points are bigger too.......

He gets more Perk points, but the formula for Score points does not take into account the type of plane you are flying. So Score points are the same regardless what plane you are in.
