Title: SQUAD VOX request

I know there are not enough VOX chanels to give each SQUAD a dedicated VOX CHN, but might there be a way to have a VOX AUTO SQUAD SQUELCH feature that can be turned ON and OFF <> ON= You only hear squad roster members and any you choose to UNSQUELCH and all other are squelched; <> OFF= Just like today.

Would be a way to greatly increase VOX capability for all :aok

Need everyone to speak there mind and support this one as a WISH LIST item if you choose :D

And I always thought each squad already has a dedicated squad channel - CH 4 "Squad"...

We are talking VOX here, not TEXT SQUAD. Yes there is a SQUAD TEXT CHN:D

I believe there is a squad vox channel also.

Now, does that limit you to squad members only, or can you UNSQUELCH others?

The Squad Vox Chanel CH4 can only be used by members of that squad. No one else.

Yep, tune radio 5 to ch 4.  You only transmit and receive to other members of your squad.  No non-squad members.

You can let ANYONE you want on your VOX channel that you have setup for your squad.

There are plenty of channels I believe for VOX for every squad.

SO you could have as many as you want on the SQUAD VOX as you say that are either squaddies or not.

We have several people that know our channel and jump on it and fly with the squad whenever:cool:

go to radio ch V  squad is in red.  It is the first one in the pull down list.  Only squad members can use this ch!:aok

All depends if your squad has chosen a channel no. to communicate on or.. do you click the arrow in the vbox and chose the red "squad" option.

If the second there is no way anyone outside the squad can listen in.

you can also type in this channel too.

the #4 chan red squad vox works fine, but it has a capacity of 32, some squads have more than 32 members due to other "wings" of a given squad.  The Arch Angelz for example (the squad I fly with) now has 2 wings, if both wings reach full capacity, we would have 64 members-which #4 red squad chan wont handle.  Overall, I have not encoutered vox issues.
