O.k. I needs some explanation here... early war and mid war areana's are capped at a capacity of 350, LW orange is at 250 and LW blue is at 200 though there are 220 people in there? Huh? Why take the most popular areana and auto size it down to support less than those that want to play in there? Sorry, but if I have people in LW blue I'd like to play with I'm not going to be forced to play somewhere else just to play. Why does the areana fluctuate in the first place? I haven't read the previous post on the current system but at times some of this crap really pisses me off. I really enjoy the fact that I'll go into an areana at say 2am Texas time and I cannot fly my ENY 15 plane in there. Aren't you supposed to improve the product to please the customer not inhibit them? Are there really a whole bunch of people jumping up and down saying "oh thank you, oh thank you for this wonderful current system"... cause I'm just not seeing it. :D

VWE, The majority of players will probably agree with you and your concern (except the few ankle humpers) but it's HT's house and it seems on certian things he has a deaf ear, or so it seems. Just like the ENY problem, seen many propose better ideas in this area but where still stuck with the way HT set it up. Not much we can do.

Oh I know its HT's house just sittin here scratchin the ol' noggin... you know its a fault of mine to try and look at things logically. Hey, I saw a Sherpa fly into Baghdad the other day during the day light hours. I thought they only came in here under the cover of darkness. I saw like 4 on the ramp down in LSA coming back from R&R.

I often have to wait to join the 6-7 members who are on in my "mega-sqwad". I'll go tool around the EW or MW looking for a few fights. The only thing you can find is milkrunners. Sometimes its 6 guys in a squad milking. You up and kill a few and they go to the country that your arent on. Its a damn shame. For a short time you could get in to some good fights in those arenas.

You know I actually think fondly back upon the MA and CT, I'd fly in the MA till I got pissed off bout something then go to the CT. And I agree with your assesment of the other areana's, I just want to go where people are easyest to find. Nothing I hate more than loggin on and spending 20 minutes chasing score potatos around who really don't want to engage you.
Look, I'm 6'5" and 260... when I try to hide over here I just make what ever cover I find that much larger of a target to hit. I'll stay safe but I shoot first and ask questions later.

EW and MW arenas caps are set where they are because they NEVER reach those kind of numbers so don't run into the problem LW arenas do. HTC has decreed, the over population in the LW arena was killing the community and the solution they came up with is to cap the arena, and add an "over flow" arena. The problem with that was with 500 people on line, one arena was maxed out at 450, and the second one had 50. The second arena was very boring due to the low numbers.... much like the EW and MW arenas are now :D
So to force the arena population to increase and decrease more evenly HTC set it up so that as "Org" closes in on it cap, more space is opened in "Blu", and as "Blu" closes in on its cap, "Org" cap increases.
By using this system, using the exsample above, in stead of 50 people pissing and moaning to HTC he only has a few pissing and moaning about not being able to get in with their squad. So from HTC point of view, the plan is working, ie: less complaints.

I still find it hard to believe that only a few of us find this system whacked though.
Oh... and the ENY thingy? Lets set it at a limit, you want to keep the elgay7nikipony crowd down then lets say limit ENY of 10 and below but when it gets to 20 or higher that's just redickerous...

And now they don,t like the results of their efforts. Split arenas etc.

I don,t mind the arenas the way they are,even though the ENY suks at times.
Don,t get me wrong---there are things I don,t care for, but hey, its a game.

Ok, The secret here while PLAYING this game is to have fun and the fun is what YOU make it. I get capped out of my favorite arena, I go to one of those others that has like 10 or so people in it, up a 190 and go hunting for them. I find them, aggrivate them with a HO or something, get into a good chase on the deck, (I'm usually the chasee), get my prettythang waxed and do it again.
But I have fun doing it and once in a blue moon I get lucky.
Devote this massive amount of energy to having fun playing a game and not towards something you have absolutely NO control over....unless you would like to make HT a multi million dollar offer and buy the business.

but back to the topic...
I was one of those that pestered HT for an ealry war arena...
When we first got it i thought it was great...
Then I found myself in the LW all the time...
The reason I realised was that I needed a target rich enviroment... cause I just dont have the time to spend all day looking for a fight...
I think that the community is being shown that certain things just wont work... (but thats just my paranoid opinion)
if this keeps up for another 12 months, then the next time ppl like me start asking for early war arenas, or night time ect the regulars will jump on the threads and tell ppl (in their not so PC way) that it just does not work...
I would love a night arena, but i can tell you that it would just be another empty space...
I would love to have a full realisim arena, no auto retract flaps, no auto takeoff, wind effects ect... but again it would be just an empty space taking up server and staff resources....
This, to me at least shows that the what the community thinks it wants, is not what it will actually use...
I have to say that I whish we had the old 700+ population MA back... and again i admit to being the one of the players asking for the different arenas we have now...
I see the error of my ways.... Please HT & gang... return us to the good old days of LA bashing and target rich enviroments....
