Nice vidio, skyrock does own;), and I know he is not the same person he pretends to be in the game, ive spent quit alot of time in the DA with him, everything he says is true. I think we need more Vidios and Interviews of more of the well known pilots on the game
-
A really well done clip, great work. Looking forward to many more.

Great interview

Very cool guys, awesome job. I love the originality. Has a VH-1 behind the pilots feel to it. Looking forward to some more.

Very Nice, Great Idea to do this. Picking Skyrock was a good choice. He is really a great guy and great pilot in this game. Ofcourse alot of guys get upset with him, but deep down once you get to know Skyrock he is an awesome guy. :aok
Ok Mark I said nice things about ya, now send me my money. :D
-
Skyrock can certainly fly, his chan 200 banter is usually good for a few or more laughs.
-
I think I missed the "interview" portion. Sounded like a soliloquy.
You can't dismiss Skyrock's abiliities. One wonders what he could have achieved if he put that same effort into something productive! :)
Seriously, it's a cool concept. I hope we see many more such films.
-
That was outstanding! JD, Yanks...hats off to ya for the product!
-
I think jd and Yanks did a great job and I was proud to be picked for the interview.
Mark

I'm far from an Ace. if I ever was, it was long long ago. I also agree that Mark is a cool guy, some like to talk "smack" others don't. I'm not much into it myself but as long as you are having fun that's what really matters.
Nice job one again fellas.
Regards,
Kjetil

Again!!!!
Glad to see ya got the film done:aok

I think it's a great idea but if you are going to pick "the most colorful" people, chances are we know much about their MA existence. It would be nice and interesting to learn about their real lives. Just my humble opinion.

I think that the interview did do that, he talked about what he does for a living, accomplishments in his personal life, and showed his kids.

That was a fun watch. <
> Wtg on that film

Nice idea fellas, and great work on it. I felt like I was watching something that could be found on TV :)

Firstly, thanks alot for taking the time to comment guys. I thought I should just explain a little bit of the thought behind this series. Yanksfan I and have known each other for quite a while and he knows I am not very good but really interested in the film making aspect of on-line games. I aint fishing for compliments when I say that guys as there are some brilliant film makers out there. In fact believe it or not but there is a whole industry throughout the world that specialises in just making videos from games. They even have exhibitions and oscars. Anyway, Don ( Yanksfan ) suggested that making these short bio,s and keeping them in a folder to be added to over time might be a great way of seeing just who is really behind the screen name. I was interested because in talking to some of you guys I met commercial pilots, tank commanders and fighter pilots etc.....
There are alot of colorful characters in the game and we just thought, with their help and permission, we could share a bit more of their real personality with those that cared to look. I am not going to get into the mud slinging about 200...I will say this though...in a combat game it will always go on just as it does in real combat..the real losers in any game are those that bring your family, mother etc... into the banter...Skyrock isnt one of those guys never has been never will be...anyway I have gone on long enough LOL I have to go to the MA now...they need more bait...and I havent died in like 5 minutes... but I would like to do more of these and if anyone has any ideas at all...please let me know JDJNR

As I mentioned before, I quite enjoyed the little film. Only suggestion in my opinion is to make it more like an interview, instead of the pilot reading from a script (this may not be the case but I imagine you had a list of things you wanted him to cover) I think it would be more interesting to have someone actually asking the questions, and then the pilot would reply.
Some have mentioned there are no aces in AH, while that may be true it's still a very unique idea brought to the table that I think could be very cool later on down the road as more people have their bios posted so to speak.
-
Nice Video/Bio. I have witnessd those moves first hand. <
> SkyRock.
I too enjoy making Films, and have around 10 under my belt. I think you've got a great Idea, one that I am going to try to implement in my squad, If they'll let me...
How many times, did you have to re-save that film to get all the audio layers?
-Mathis
-
Thanks yes we originally did a live interview that took about 90 minutes. Nothing was rehersed but due to time constraints we tried to get across as much as we could. This really was an experiment and we are looking at opening a dedicated site for this so we can upload and store alot more. Also we were concerned at how long something like this would hold anyones interest. Keep the advice coming...I only saved it twice to get the audio but it is something I am working on with special effects and dubbing. Right now I am a complete newb at this but I enjoy it LOL.

hey skyrock
my name is FLOTSOM, i am a squad member of the infamous (note: infamous not famous) SUICIDE DWEEBZ. we all earned our infamy by formerly being B.O.P.'s ( B.O.P.'s) and leaving to form a free style fighting squad.
well on to the point of this note. i have watched your film and was greatly impressed by you and your skill as both a pilot and just being a person. i am gladdened to have gotten the oppurtunity to spend a couple of minutes in your head and do believe i now know where your heart is. i thank you for the blessing of your time.
your film was impressive and inspiring, listening to you makes me realize that the competition found within the M.A. is between real people with real lives and that it is at the end of the day ALL IN FUN!!!!!!
i hope to have many engagements with you in both the M.A. and in the D.A and in my dying hopfully will glean some of the skills used by you to repeatedly RONSON my 190.
so to you i send a high

verily I say unto you thou art not vets. thou art all dweebs
thou shalt be smitten upon the rolling terrain and thy fiery conflagration shall be pire unto thy dweebdom.

I truly enjoyed that. I've always 'known' that skyrock was allright and a normal human but it's good to hear the voice and his game philosophy.
People I'd like to see interviewed (in no particular order)
Widewing
Murdr
B@tfink
Daddog
Storch (sorry dude but I really would)
Outlaw
Schatzi
Schutt
Ren
The entire staff of HTC
Sir Biggles
The Bug
Shifty
Ghotsth
I'll think of more later. I think this is a plan with legs.. keep at it.
-
my favorite part was the explantion of what "ownage" is by skyrock :D
nice interview
-
Yanks/JD I really enjoyed that and look forward the next issue.
Mark, it was fun to hear your side of it !
-
