Does anyone know where to get a military surplus 2 1/2 ton truck from?
I am planning to get one possibly. I need to find one that is running and can pass the state inspection. It needs to not be super expensive.
I have tried looking on Ebay, but they are at locations that are too far away, plus I dont feel like having to bid.
Thanks.

look in your newspaper or go to your nearest army navy store to find out

Local 'museum' has about 6 or 7, all running perfectly... I can get you some contact info if you would like. Not sure if theyre selling, and theyre in Hawaii, but its worth a shot... We also have a Russian 37mm AA gun, a two tank repair vehicles, a willys jeep, 2 airport fire-engines, a mobile ATC post...

I am not located in Hawaii, and I would not be able to afford the shipping rates to have it shipped back to the mainland.
Thanks for the thought though serenity, very much apreciated.

Try google for military vehicle associations.
If you find some, call them. Those guys know where everything is even if they don't have one.
Check here.. took about 2 sec.

Deuce and a half was a fun truck to drive. I drove one from the Cleveland area all the way to Grayling Michigan. I had the company's weapons in the truck. Everything from .50's down to sidearms. Now if it only had AC in the cab!

My uncle is in the Army...and he brought a Hummer up to our house and left it there...oddly enough...
So me and my dad went to "test" it out...Was much much fun...We took it to our neighbor's and we all piled into the back (We had about 6 people in it) and we went through their woods up a swampy muddy hill in 2 wheel drive...Their whole woods is covered in swamp...we made it through...:D

There used to be a company in Indiana that sold M1009 GMC CUCVEE's. They also sold Deuce and a half's.
