Hey all,
A friend of mine from Charlotte invited me to meet him half-way at the Oceana Air Show in Virginia Beach from September 7 - 10.
I'm not positive I'll be able to get there, but would like to and was wondering a few things:
1. Are any of you going? If I make it down, feel like grabbing a beer?
2. What's the deal with the lack of old warbirds for this? I'm looking at the website (http://www.oceanaairshow.com/) and am having a hard time finding anything booked besides an A26... I take it this is more of a modern show?
I suppose I could do that...
I don't know. Any random information or stories from past adventures there you'd like to share would be welcome :)

It is a modern airshow...yes...

Oceana is a Naval air station next to Virginia Beach, when I was going to school in the Navy back in the mid '80s I used to sit at the end of the runway and watch the F-14's do touch n goes.
Oceana has always been thin on warbirds, its primarily a show of force weekend for the Navy and Airforce. Its going to be suck n blow dominate air displays but I'd recomend it as a good show to go see.
