Been searching for downed pilot for past three weeks now. Everyone asking everyone, "have you seen missing pilot?". All reply with same answer., "unknown last location". Search continued until yeserday evening, when search and recovery delivered him back to us.
We're not unlike any other squadron, we try to look out for our own, help one and another then they're down, both in a game, and in real life. I share this insert as a tribute to anyone and everyone that serves on the front lines, where ever they may be........................... ....................
INSERT:
............sorry bout my absence but a gentleman i pulled over thought it was my time to die.but i disagreed.i pulled over a car on a rainy night.it had a tail light out.i was going to let the driver know and send them on their way.when i got to the window of the vehicle multiple shots rang out.6 rounds were stopped by my vest.however one round entered my neck ,grazing a main artery.if it werent for my paramedic buddies whom i work with i would not be writing this now.the doctors said they could not figure out how my heart kept beating with so little blood in my body.AN LTAR heart never dies, nor does an LTAR heart quit.they didnt understand this but i know my brothers do.
LTARthrn is now at home resting and recovering, sipping some fine Crown, licking his "Scratch" lol. Probably pissed because I posted this. But hell, when ever I find a hero..........I'm going to let folks know.
Salute Thrn; Godspeed my brothern.

and best wishes for a speedy recovery. From what I know of the LTARS you are already eating a raw steak and washing it down with well aged, high quality, whiskey.
Glad you're still with us and I hope they catch the perps and throw them in a hole so deep that they have to pipe sunlight and fresh air to them.

Sounds like Saint Michael was watching over someone. Hope you heal soon.

Dichotomy, can you send this to him directly, please.

Words cannot discribe what thoughts and emotions you must be fealing right now.
You did what yourself and most of us consider right, upholding the law providing service and protection.
Then someone trys to take you away from us, for whatever the reason.
The fact you took six to the chest was the miracal of modern science.
The fact your blood was under E, and you survived is a testement to your strength and your will to live. The fact your intentions were to let the man go with a warning. "bless you"
"maby a little devine intervention" You obviusly have someone up there lookin' down on you.
No matter your deeds, i belive you to be a good man, heart and soul.
Know this, and press forward.
Something kept you here with us, keep it that way, and keep doing what you do.
I salute you.

Police Officers Prayer
Oh Almighty God, whose great power and eternal wisdom embraces the universe.
Watch over all policemen and law enforcement officers.
Father in Heaven please give them the strength, courage and perseverance to endure
The unjust condemnation, danger, and physical abuse to which they are at times subjected.
We recommend them to your loving care because their duty is dangerous.
Dear God, grant these brave men your almighty protection,
Unite them safely with their families after duty has ended.
Amen
Get well soon!

Salute to LTARThrn, a bona fide hero.....
Not because he stopped some bullets, but because he served as a SEAL and because he serves as a cop.
The true definition of a hero is one who puts himself in harm's way for the benefit of others, when he could have protected himself with other actions.
God bless you.
-
Best of luck LTARthrn.. hope you have a speedy recovery...

LTARthrn was in the arena last night. He sounded pretty good, and was unusually happy . . . something to do with the painkillers, I suspect. ;)

If I got shot 6 times point blank and lived, I'd be ****ing ecstatic. Some medication certainly wouldn't hurt either. :)
Glad to hear he's on the mend.

And another LTAR (LEO) wishing Thrn the best. Lots of Law, ex-Law and military here. Good to see.
A lot of money was saved. Lawyer fees, court costs, jury fees, jail and meal costs. All the appeals. Plus the defense attorney making it look like it was all Thrns fault it happened.
