What's a good free spyware removal program? Seems like Ad-Aware and SpyBot are no longer freeware =(
ack-ack

im not an expert here but AVG *might* help.
Hope you find what your looking for ack.

the 'Free' version of AVG will find it but it doesn't remove it...

Aw come on' ack ack...we've all been using those "free-side" offerings for years now. Pony up the money and live with a clear conscious.
:D

Have you tried Trendmicro? (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/free_security_tools/housecall_free_scan.php?WT.cg_n=home_qa_housecall#)

I got PC Tools spyware doctor. It tends to scan on it's own and not when scheduled, kind of like my experiance with McAfee anti virus. At least it doesn't shut everything down when it does scan unlike McAfee.

Symantec very good security checker and spyware cleaner.
I use it as a backup for my Spyware Docter, I don't want to rely on a single source to clean my system. This does really well.

Anti Virus and Spyware cleaners are worth actually buying for a system in order to get constant and timely updates.
Using Computer Associates Internet Security Suite as primary (3-system license) for viruses, spyware, and software firewall (usually router firewall is all I need, but sometimes I kick in software FW if getting hit bad);
Spybot - Search and Destroy as secondary;
and HijackThis with logs as the third. HiJackThis didn't cost anything, but unless you know what you are doing, you can really screw up your system with it.

Thanks guys

I have Ad-Aware, AVG, and Norton. I never use em though :lol but when I do they get the job done.

Spybot Search and Destroy is payware now? Geesh I thought I just downloaded that last week for my parents recently.

No Spybot is free but when you do a search it often comes back w/ a payware clone called SpywareBot. It is absolutely still free.
