Title: head set issues

everytime i hit the talk button, the mute light on my headset volume control turns  on and no one can hear me..i've got a plantronics cs head set...if anyone has any ideas please let me know.  I'm running windows vista with a dual core amd processor.

I have a Platronics GameCom Pro 1 and the mike stopped working on Saturday afternoon.  I had been on-line Saturday morning and had no problems but when I logged on Saturday Afternoon the mike would not work.  I've had it for at least 2 years and I guess it just wore out.  I can still hear perfectly just cannot use the mike.  It is possible that your mike just wore out.  You can perform a test in windows to determine if your mike is working.
