Title: 163s that spontaneously explode!
Post by: PanzerIV on August 18, 2007, 09:56:07 PM
They did in real life, why not on a simulator that strives for accuracy?

Actually they didn't explode "spontaneously"...

Well, they would explode on the startup sequence if you didnt manage all the mixture and throttle stuff correcly. So when the throttle is firwalled during startup shoudlnt the go KABOOM?

:D

here is what happend the fuel mixture C stoph and T stoph were a highly flamible mix when the touched, just a small portion of the fuels they would catch fire in a drastic way. so, when a large fuel load caught fire and explode.
My only thing is that we have somthing called "You have landed sucsessfully" when your on runway for startup, so we wouldn't lose perks and then we would just go again.

At that rate they'd have to model engine failures too, to represent engine unreliability!:D :aok

I'd rather see them and 262s gone entirely and radar range at HQ extended so incoming Buffs can be detected a lot sooner. Oh, and rough altitude indicators on Dar as well because, y'know, historical radar COULD get a general altitude fix.

There's nothing more annoying and gamey than guys who field-hop in 163s to get them into front-line combat five sectors away from from their base.

Well when you're tangling on the front line and all the sudden are running into 163s that SHOULDN'T BE THERE it does.

If they (the 163's) took the time to base hop, well I guess they should be there.
Not like they will be up there every flight on the front line.
It's their $15 they want to base hop.

And how often does that happen?

Hardly qualifies for the "Most Annoying" Award of AH II.

"A 163 mission to kill HQ Raiders"

"Alright, everyone hold on runway. Everyone here? O.K. good, lets roll!"
"FULL THROTTLE!!"   BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!

someone gets 20 proxie kills.

So Lusche, who does the "Most Annoying Award of AHII" go to?

That is actually a squadmate of mine in the Komet.  But yes, I do roll film most sorties, as film is probably the single best training aide one can use to better understand and improve on performance.

I am not nearly skilled enough to make a suitable movie, but am collecting film for others to incorporate into a trailer for DGS.
