Find the "Aces High II" folder on your hard drive.  Rename the "sounds" file something like "sounds_original" and drop the sound pack folder into the same "Aces High II" folder.  Be sure to change the name of the sound pack folder to "sounds" so that the game will use the files within it.

go to "my computer"..."program files" then "HTC" i believe.  rename the origional sound folder to something else (sound1...sound2....ect...). name the new sound folder to sound and put it in the HTC folder. then you are done  :D

Just as money said except make sure your new one is called Sounds, not Sound. Sorry money, not nitpicking, but it must be correct for it to work.

technically, the directory is located this way (if you're using WinXP):

click Start button > My Computer > C: > Program Files > HTC > Aces High II, and locate the "sounds" folder.

if he doesn't know how to navigate the C drive, he may not know how to rename a folder or do a saveas for that matter.

Kenny here's the drill:

Extract the wafflesounds to your desktop. It will appear as a folder named SOUNDS

Next -
left click on the START button on the lower left screen

left click the MY COMPUTER icon in the new window

double left click the folder in the new window that says LOCAL DISK (C)

double left click the folder in the new window that says PROGRAM FILES

double left click the folder in the new window that says HTC

double left click the folder in the new window that say Aces High II

Look for the folder named SOUNDS Right click on it and then scroll your cursor to RENAME in the drop down window. Rename it oldsounds.

Now reduce (minimize) the window so you can see the Desktop. Use the cursor to drag the (waffle) sounds folder into the Aces High II folder

That should do it for you. If not, call 817.251.1540 and ask for Skuzzy or Waffle.

Good luck!

All of the Waffle sounds need to be in one folder named Sounds

That folder needs to be in the Aces High II folder.

im trying waffles sounds and dont like them too much, mainly because the jet engine sound is horrid and annoying, and i fly the 234 pretty often, and the flaps and gear sounds keep getting stuck in a loop...

are there any other sound packs out there>?
