Post by: Snubby on August 20, 2007, 02:29:53 AM
retarded question I know..  but I was just in the blue late war arena, and I have 71 bomber points, and the 234 was listed at 60.. but if I tried to pick it, it said I didnt have enough points..

am I missing something, or, what?

EDIT:  in case your think im an idiot, or liar.. whatever...

I went back and took a pic..

the 20mm tail gun costs another 20 perks :D

I don't know what the problem could be. You have enough perks and you cant take a 234, You got me :huh

I think the perk multiplier changed. The clipboard info isn't in real time.

it was at 50 whe i first started, and wouldent let me buy it, when I went back to try again (and took the picture) it had risen to 60, still over 11 below to what I had.. still didnt work..

granted the clipboard isnt in real time, but its pretty close,, withing a couple of seconds... you can sit there and watch it change up and down..

Was formation checked each time you tried Snubby?

If formation was checked each time you tried then it costs like x perks per bomber..... so if u have  a formation it'd be like 60 x 3 = 180 perks

It's 60 perks per plane, three to a formation = 180, you are about 110 perks points short for a formation of 234's , unclick the formation box and you can get a single 234 for 60 or your 71 perks.  remember it's a you break it, you buy it deal.

I had the same thing happen to me when I first started playing, I thought something was wrong because it wouldn't let me fly it, luckily I figured it out after awhile, so your not the only one thats happen too.

Anything with more than 1 engine is a bomber

Not necessarily, the 110-G2 has 2 engines and it could be considered an attack fighter, it's kinda like an A-10 Warthog, it has 2 engines and I wouldn't say it's a bomber, and the A-10 is sorta like the modern day version of a 110-G2.

Hubs already said it: perk multiplier was changing while he was in hangar. So the cost for a single bomber was higher than the 71.53 point he had at that time.

well after he stated "it had already changed" is when I went back and took the 2nd pics, the cost had only risen to 62..

you think it could have gone from 60 to over 71 then back down to 62 within just a few min?

even after the 2nd when i went back the 3rd time (and got it to work) the cost was still in the lower 60s

You left formation checked. It triples the cost, because youre trippling the planes. Go to another bomber, and deselect formation. Try again.
