When hitting the default zoom button, it now almost completely unzooms your view. Not sure if that was intended...
-
Adjust the zoom using the '[' and ']' keys, then press 'Z' again to store the state.
-
Eh, for me, I do that, it gets rid of it when I exit arena... Is there any reason why it isn't at its normal distance?
-
Hmm not sure how to describe my problem:
I have the "View zoom default" button mapped to my stick. I used it to get my view back to exact the same Standard Zoom position. Very helpful for precicion sniping (D Hurricane vs GV for example) - but that standard is now a unzoomed view. This is a definite change, and not to the better.
-
Same thing with me, but lusche describes it better
-
Ok, it is broke. Was not intentional.
Right now the work around is to adjust the zoom when you enter the arena. The postion will be saved as long as you are in the arena.
-
Alright, thanks skuzzy. If its not asking too much, will it be sooner than the next patch?
-
To me it seemed like saving the zoomed position also affects the default position.... and saving the default position affects the zoomed position.
The distance between these two positions remains constant and almost minimal :(

Just a perspective from my end, and 2 cents about the recent patch.
A new plane that really, eh doesn't do it for me or anyone that I talk to about it. Pretty much a waste of time in our eyes.
Zoom doesn't work for a few of us so, we weren't happy about that.
Flying cockpits, spits that turn UBER fast seemingly totally out of control only to return to a controlled turn also soaking up 500 rounds of cannon ammo - LEFT IN the game.
Everyone complains about this. Yet nothing is done.
Just my advice. I love this game but lately, I play less and less and less due to these frustrations. I avoid spits for this issue but the flying cockpits are still out there. What else that I don't know about? The flying cockpit is a VISUAL acknowledgment that there are serious issues.
Don't just listen to forum people hitech, listen in game and play it for yourself.
Otherwise you'll doom yourself like ww2online did. More content, more fluff - forget the performance issues (not a problem here) and don't fix the bugs (ahem) and people will eventually jump off the bandwagon onto another.
At least a WE ARE WORKING ON IT...would have sufficed a bit.
