Are you flying offline and trying to use the B25 in formation and have not connected to the arena?  Just remove the "skins.res" file from the 'skins' folder and that will fix that.

Or connect to our arenas and a new 'skins.res' file will be installed.

Got 3 seperate gamecrashs while attacking bombers in MW & LW arenas. Attacked B25, B24, B17s in 109G-6 and P51D's.
I have filmed two of this incidents. If that would be any help, I could send them in.

Well I just flew for an hour or so with no issues, so I'll see if it continues.

Just got update. Logged in, took off in b25H with 3 1000lbers. About 5 seconds after lift-off game crashed. I cannot not get it to start again.

You may have to do what I do and just dl and re-install the full game over your existing software. Don't worry - all your custom stuff will still be there. YOu won't see any difference except fewer crashes.

Heater, do this:

go to the Downloads section and dl the aces high exec with the full game.  You don't need to uninstall your current version.  Click to execute the .exe file and let it run its course.  You don't need to reboot, just fire it up and see if that fixes it.

I never get CTDs, but after the patch, I get one every 20 min or so. Lemme guess, it's all our systems' fault.

Same here, maybe not every 20 mins but I've been having quite a few of them. I did what was suggested as far as reinstalling and I'm still getting crashing.

This is a brand new PC that I built about a month ago.

running

Vista
Q6600
Geforce 8800 GTS
with 2 gigs of ram.

So it's not a old POS PC that has a bunch of spy-ware or old drivers. Every crash I've had was while in combat with other planes if that makes any difference.

Haven't had a crash yet while I was flying alone. The screen just freezes up and I can't do anything but alt+f4 to close the game.

I'm also now getting a crash when using the film viewer, Im' not sure if it's related or not.

The instruction at 0xc004af300 referenced memory at 0xffc4cce0. The memory could not be read.

I have crashed several times, I noticed it only happens if I have used the Alt R to start recording the flight for review in the Film Viewer.

Yea I'm starting to think it it might be connected to that. Hence the reason I've never had a crash when I'm not fighting.

I always start recording just as I start a fight then I stop it soon as I'm out of the action. It's never crashed as soon as I hit ctrl+R but every crash has been while I was recording.

The second thing, is I've never been able to see the crash error message in game, because the game screen freezes and only thing I can do is alt+F4 to close the game. However last night I was able to see the error message and it was the exact same one  I get when I try to watch a film.

So I'm going to have to agree, that I think it might have something to do with the updates to the recorder.

Maybe it's a good thing I never remember to hit record.:D

Ok I think I can confirm at this point it is related to the film viewer. Earlier today I was recording and crashed out a few different times.

This evening I flew for about 3 hours straight with out a single crash. That's the longest I've flown with out it crashing since the update. Only difference was I wasn't recording my flights.

Is there anyway we can go back to the old version of the film viewer, until this bug gets fixed?

I will have to confirm this.. but I only had 1 crash yesterday. The crash was the same style I was recording and attacking a set of lancasters, killed the first, was shooting the second then the screen freezes. Only thing I could do was alt-F4 to kill the game. (no error messages)

I'll see how it goes today, to see if that one crash was just a glitch or if I was just lucky.

Problem still exists for sure.. Was just attacking a set of b24's killed the first then screen freezes while killing the others. Of course it's while I was recording.

I have not had any problems with crashes UNTIL I started to record. I was trying to shoot down a set of B-17's and I killed the first one and started to light up the second one when I was booted out.
