:D
I spent the evening suppressing wife ack, but I was oh so looking to up a G-14 and start shredding B-25's before the buff guys figured out how to fly em!
Was it a slaughter or what?
-
only got 5, the first one didn't want to go down. split the tails off the next three, guess thats the magic spot.
i flew it a couple times, fun ride.
-
Incredible to see guys trying to fly the H model like a fighter, HOing with the 75mm...they all died in minutes.

Nothing like HOing a Sherman with the B-25.
And yes it has been figured out.
-
They burn too easy.
-
And the pilot gets wounded awful fast.
-
The B25H has 1,469 kills, and 2,543 have been shot down.
Not bad for 24 hours. :rofl
-
Killed 11 yesterday...Osti vs. B25 makes me giggle
-
Well I got 4 kills (2 GV 2 P51D) and 3 assists (all fighters) and only lost 1 plane while pulling too many Gs too fast and ripping my wing off.
I DID give baldeagl a proxy for that, though :D
So, 4:1 kill ratio, not bad (not counting assists!)
EDIT: Those are kills IN a -25, not OF a -25, just to clarify.
-
I only got one.:cry
But I was too busy with other fighters to deal with 25s. Only reason I got the one I did get was because he seemed to be down with everyone else trying to dogfight.
-
I nailed two in Ostie 1 kill/1 assist. I nailed another one in a seafire. That 75mm is unbelievable! Those guys were on the deck alot. I think it adds a whole new level of blow em up fun.
-
Only saw one, killed it in one pass.
To paraphrase Yeager (or was in Anderson?) "The first time I saw a B-25, I shot it down."
:D
-
It will be a fun bird. I killed a couple GVs, Augered a couple learning it's limits, and killed an LA with the top gun.
Killing ords won't help save GVs much anymore. The 75 is easy to use and fun.
Big targets for an Osti, so should be some fun upping a Flak when a bunch of 25s are camping a spawn.
-
B25's burn good and make a nice boom when they splat the ground.
:aok :aok
-
I only got 2.... lost them both turning too hard with my formation :D
-
got 6 in one run yesterday..
Totaled about 15 last night :D
-
I didn't get any, but I got Vulched by one! :furious :lol
-
I got two A2A kills in the B25C while turnfighting it but lost a bunch of them by ripping the wings off in moderately steep dives
-
These B-25's are really helping my kill score in a flak-super easy to kill.
Woo Hoo
LOL
-
3 25s spotted, 3 25s dead:aok
-
None, saw a few hotshotting around though. Fun to watch.
-
Ive gotten a bunch today in the MW, but that top gun is deadly if you drift above them. Sparkplug put a burst right through my cockpit when I tried to roll under him after an aborted pass.
From what I've seen, the tail seems weak and the wingroots light up awfully easy. But I've only fought the C's (and 1 G who tried going vertical with a '51B), so I'm not sure if the later one is mure rugged or just heavier. I know I'm staying out of its front quarter though.
-
I completely shredded only one B25.......in my (I know it's dweebish:noid ) Spit14 last night.
-
Ya know I was all happy cause I thought it would be a buffet....
Apearently it was, cause every time I would hear of an inbound b25 and scramble my 109 by the time I got to where they were all had been shot down!
-
I just took out 3 24s with the front guns of the H, from 1.5' out. Aim a little high and its like shooting ducks, tho I had to get rid of my bombs to catch the bombers. Had the pilot of the 24s flown them like we fly them then B-25 never would have had a chance. Fly them in at 5 k and your asking for trouble.
At 15,000' to 20,000' I doubt the 25 could even catch a B-24. I havnt figured out how Im going to use the B-25, if I use it at all. One things for sure I wont use it as a fighter.
It should be a fun mission airplane and an interesting addition to the game.
-
I think I got 2 or 3 B25s last nite. It was cracking me up how they were trying to dogfight with em'. And almost all I seen flying around were on the deck......SWEET! :D
-
We were providing target practice for the B-25s last night (or was it the other way around?) at A3 for a while. I think it lasted perhaps an hour or so, maybe a little longer, before a nearby base was taken and a lot more friendlies and a more varied enemy group showed up.
But during the "Happy Time" where it was basically a duel between myself, LTARaptr and LTARdrgn and the very determined B-25 drivers, I managed to knock down 30 H's and 2 C's from an Ostwind for 5 deaths or less (not sure how many I had before last night, 5 deaths showing now).
LTARaptr stayed longer than I did, so I don't know how many of his 42 kills of the H and 7 of the C were after I left or perhaps in a different platform.
Poor LTARdrgn was in a Sherman almost the entire time keeping the ords knocked down on the base and providing protection for Raptr and me from the GVs trying to come up the hill to get us. Still, he managed to knock down 9 H's and 1 C along the way (I don't doubt from his main gun a few times).
LTARhntr showed up just as the "Happy Time" was ending and a more varied opponent set was coming and other friendlies arriving. He still got 5 of the H model.
Despite the carnage, I must say the B-25 is a very tough bird. On a number of occasions one would pass over and keep going after both Raptr and I landed 2-4 hits each. Hit location means a lot on this very strudy airframe.
I wish I could remember all those who kept coming at us, but my memory fails me -- the only name I can remember at the moment is HotHand. I hope all of you had as much fun trying to take us out as we did trying to survive!

got 1

Scores page, Kill Stats in an expanded format (IE only), do model vs model Choose B15H on one side, and all models on the other.
At 10:41 EST today (8-27) it's "B-25H has 5127 Kills of All models
All models have 8327 Kills of B-25H "
-
After only a few days, the B-25H is already ranked #7 on the Panzer's "Causes of Death" list. If you look only at planes that killed Panzer IV's, it's even #3, just behind Il-2 & A-20G

Personally, I had a blast the night the B-25's were released..
I sat at the base of a hill picking off osties in my M4 from over 3500 yards away. They were so busy with the B-25s, it took a while for someone to figure out what was going on.
I know I got over 15 confirmed kills, and countless assists.. It was like xmas :D

Opposite here. The B-25 have ruined my Hurricane IID game - now everybody rolls Ostwinds instead of Tigers, Shermans & Panzers :cry ;)

I noticed that as well. Some 25's were going down to a single Osti hit. Others took two or three and rolled on by. I'll need to review the films to see where the weak points are.

Within hours of release, I had to try for a B25 kill.... Noticed a red dot headed for a rear airfield, so jumped in a Tiff and took off. Within moments, a formation of B25s came into view. I had to spend about 10 mins climbing up and chasing it, but eventually got close in. Lucky for me, the rear gunnery was bad, as I almost inviting death being so close behind the bombers. Didn't take very long for all 3 B25s to come apart. I'll never forget my first B25 kills :aok
