Ok, as of lately (as in after the new patch) I get these random crashes in the game where either it will freeze or the game to quite out and I get a message boxing basically saying the words below.
aceshigh.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvience. And then talks about sending an error report to ms blah blah blah.
I have deleted the game and redownloaded it but to no avail. It has happened countless times now, and is expecially noticable when I am shooting at someone or dropping down on someone.
Any ideas on whats causing this/how to fix it? I never got these before, so I believe it has something to do with the new patch, but I don't want to jump to conclusions.
Usually after a little bit, like an hour plus or something, havn't really timed it, I can get back on, but this is getting really annoying, considering how I don't get that much time to play.
Thanks,
Donkey

I do not get why everyone is having problems...I am having none...

well...maybe you should start your own thread about not having any problems.

LOL RTR. Also, I forgot to add, whenever I get the aceshigh.exe message, whenever I try to start the game again it starts to load and then quickly exits and gives me the error again. I have to wait a long time to be able to get on and play.

If you are running the film recorder; there is a bug which will cause the game to crash right now. Do not run the film recorder.

I was getting this message before the patch, but more often after the patch---special note, using Vista.
-
Ubfortunately, Vista has so many bugs it is difficult to say with any certainty where any given problem may lie. Drivers are really shaky for Vista.
The inconsistency from computer to computer makes it difficult to troubleshoot.

Adog31st, delete the 'cache' and 'skins' folders. Are you using any custom sounds?
