Hi all......

*Back up your old sounds folder by renaming it*
*Create new folder called "Sounds"*
*Unzip this rar file copy and paste "all" sounds into it*
*If you dont have RAR here is the file link*
 RAR (http://www.rarlab.com/rar/wrar370.exe)
*Firefox user`s -- RAR file likes IE browser so use IE to run this file*
*Changes*
1.All planes have been reworked..combined external and internal sounds.
2.All Tanks,Jeep, And PT boat all recived new sounds.
3.New explosion sounds were Added.
4.Added new rocket sound , buffet ,and chute 45gun sounds.
5.Added B-25`s "H,has a custom higher velocity cannon sound.
6.Added RV8 Custom sounds.
7.Synced all engs IE: every plane with a merlin has a merlin eng pratt etc.
8.Bombers have the same eng IE LANC with merlins but with a multi eng
sound mixed in.
9.Super Charger whines were added to appropriate eng`s.
10.Added Custom sounds for the Sherman.
11.Added a couple new Check 6 sounds"Oldtimers will recognize german check 6:D
12.Tested all sounds via other players.

Wow, you were right about Firefox not liking that RAR link.

I've never had trouble with RAR before in firefox.

That file crashed firefox nicely! :lol

I'm downloading the file through IE now.

Thanks TB, as always, any efforts to add to the game are much appreciated.

I like all except one- the 75mm for the B-25, while distict, doesn't pack enough "oomph" IMO. Your 37mm sounds meatier.

It sounds like a .30-'06 to me.

Great Job TB!38 sounds realy cool.Actualy the whole pack does.I like the Russian check 6.I dont know what he's sayin ...maybe roughly translated "your mother wears un-insulated combat boots"...but its cool heheheh keep it up:aok

Right clicking and selecting "save link as" works well in Firefox. Just got the bug for new sounds last night and decided to start with this pack.

thanks. most of it is good. the hard turn sound is absolutely awful though. it's like stuff is exploding. really puts you off. I think it's buffet?

It's odd going from Mitsu to this or (I think it's Ranger's?) sound packs....the sound for the cruiser and 5" guns are the same as Mitsu's explosion sound. I keep thinking the ships are detonating all over the place.

I've followed the instructions and got it working fine, however there's a couple of sounds where I'd like to put the original back. My old sounds directory is almost empty, where are the original sound files kept?

Just delete those sounds from the new folder. You won't find the original sounds, they are a *.res file type.

I'm still loving this pack TB, my only suggestion is the startup sound for the M4.  It has a low-res quality to it, if that makes any sense.  Other then that kudos!

Just curious though, the pack doesn't mute when someone is speaking on range or vox, so it's kinda hard to hear people chatting at times with this pack, but it's still a awesome one!

love the yak engine :D !

Turn all of your in-game sounds down by a good amount (I've found by half is a good amount with the sounds I'm using).

This way, the sounds (like engines and tracks) are quiet but the Vox is loud. That way, you can turn your master sound level up and still hear your engines and that nicely, then have the VOX come in clearly over the top.

Love these sounds.

The Lightening's Allisons (especially while diving) truly sound exquisite.

The Merlins sound great with their supercharges audibly whining.

No idea what the Russian check 6 is.  I couldn't understand it, so I sent it off to a native speaker on the theory it was just my ear.  She confirmed it's not Russian.

Sounds more like German to me, but nothing I can comprehend.

Old thread I know but thanks for the technical help in game the other day TB. I'm downloading now that I got past the RAR thing  :) I want the 38 and 25 sounds  :lol
