LOL!!! Okay, well, my 15th birthday was on saturday, and my parents and my girlfriend's parents surprised me by taking me out to dinner. Well, her parents also got me a gift. It was a shirt. Now, lets make this clear. I'm 15. And my 15 year old girlfriend's parents got me the following shirt, a day before she spent the WHOLE day alone with me:
"Lets flip a coin.
Heads I get tail,
Tails I get head"
GOD I'm gonna have some awesome inlaws, lol!
-
It was a test, if you didn't look at them blankly and say "I don't get it", then you failed.
:D

I laughed my arse off and said "Bugger, if only I had a coin!"

Happy birthday Serenity!
Read your mail.

You are one lucky young man! That was their way of telling you, "Go for it!" with their daughter!!

If we DID do anything, you folks wouldnt find my body when her parents were done with me. They would KILL me! But at least this shows they have a sense of humor.

You're 15 and your already talking about future inlaws? With all due respect, has your body even finished going through puberty?
Anyway's, post pictures of her in 3 years or whenever she is 18, and we'll let ya know if she's worth it =).
Fun shirt by the way...Reminds me of something from t-shirt hell.

Serenity...I don't know if you posted a provocative picture on purpose but the "HUH"? part makes me think you did....
1- I doubt your 15 year old fiancee would really like that...
2- Your in a forum where 99.9% of the other users are adults, and dont want to see pictures of 15 year old girls like that...Not to mention, even though you are of age, posting that picture or pictures like that could get YOU in trouble for kiddie porn...

Actually, i dont post ANYTHING of her without checking with her first. She thinks this conversation is hilarious. However, I agree, in hindsight that was pretty stupid. Picture is gone.

After reading that and thinking back to when I was 15, the overriding thought is, Wow, you have such a lot of living ahead of you! Stay flexible, keep a good sense of humor, and roll with the punches, because they are coming along with the thrills and good times.
And I'll repeat the best advice my Father ever gave me: Never do it with anyone you wouldn't marry.
And I'll add: ... and be able to support in the manner she deserves.

I re-read the initial post...the T shirt is basically saying "Have sex with our daughter". If I was 15 I'd think that was cool. Being 42 and having a daughter of my own I think it is very weird.
-
Serenity- Maybe you can go on the show "Engaged and Underage"...AKA I'm a fluff'n moron and will most likely be divorced in the next decade because I was too stupid not to date anyone else, and I now realized that making these big decisions at 15 years old, was actually a really dumb idea. =)

DAMNIT!! i missed the pic!!!
was she hot?
if hypothetically she was 18+ would i hit it?
oh well time to go back thru my collection of victoria pratt photo's
-
Why would your Aunt and Uncle give you a shirt like that???
-
Your all a bunch of perverts!
Keep up the good work!
-
I'm 17 and never had anything near a relationship. If you find out everything about her chances are you will be bored when you get married, and boredom leads to painful divorces.
Just remember, when you get married, it's the same as adding two different colors of play dough together. When you get a divorce you are attempting to separate both colors from one another. Obviously everyone should know just how difficult this is.
Have some good times, just don't break the rule barrier.:aok

Really, REALLY good advice on both counts! I agree completely with both. Now, the inlaws comment was a little flame-baiting, i'll admit, but I couldnt help myself :D

You are being foolish in the extreme of you are planning to make one of the largest commitments of your entire life at the age of 15. You have no idea of what the world is really like at that age. Frankly most 25 year olds are having a hard time seeing the world past their hormones with more than double the life experience you have had.
Before you take on responsibility for others you should have learned to take responsibility for yourself. That means living on your own, by your own means and getting comfortable with yourself. You've hardly even been introduced to yourself yet. Yes that sounds a bit strange at first blush, but your body hasn't yet even come to terms with it's growth and chemistry yet. You have no idea how it's going to settle down and you are contemplating having another person in your life, every day of your life?
You have a ton of growing yet to do and much to experience that will shape your life. Get that accomplished before you decide to limit all of your social and other relationships based on one primary relationship.

I have been enamored of the opposite sex since I was 10 years old. I have had them on my mind for as long as I can remember.
She's a lovely young lady Serenity and I would imagine a great companion and a lot of fun to be around. Make the most of life while you can. Having someone to do that with you makes it a lot more fun. Real friendships are hard to come by, hang on to this one as long as you can.
Word.

Getting married doesn't magically fix or cement anything, btw. Shack up for a few years, if you're still interested after that, then get married. Folks who shack up like that before marriage are less likely to get a divorce in the long run.
-
If you are looking at everything being a "negative" here, other than the back slapping and hooting, then you aren't reading them as intended.

I hate to tell you, but getting engaged at 15 is not a smart thing to do.
You both are still young. Go out and have fun out in the world with other people. Do the things that kids like to do at that age.
Five years from now if you both got married when you two were 16 (however local laws there work), you will be very lucky if the marriage is still intact. If not, you will look back on it and regret giving up your youth. Your youth now and the fun times you have with your friends at this age only come once. Dont let them pass by, take every advantage to create fun memories of now before you get too old and regret not doing them.
I threw away my youth by getting married too early. And yes, I regret it by missing out on all the fun things others my age were doing while I gave up college to work full time to support us. I will never make that same mistake again.
I am speaking from personal experience on this.

I mean the lovely stories people have a tendency to break into here about how marriage is such a horrible thing.

No, marriage can be great. The wrong marriage is horrible. That's why I suggest shacking up first, you find out if you're right for each other.

Yeah. A lot of you guys assume ive made up my mind to marry her. My parents got divorced. I KNOW how nasty it can get. I HAVE made up my mind, just not the way you folks think. Ive decided to... well, think more about it before deciding! And thats a decision I made a while ago.

Make sure you get a dowry if the girls family wants to pawn her off so fast.

lol. Trust me, theyre not pawning her off. They KNOW if they wanted to get rid of her theyd have no problem. It was a joke, and I know if I ever tried something like that, they WOULD kill me.

Serenity...What you say about being 15 and basically being engaged is just laughable. No disrespect, and no one is poking fun at you, it's just very very comical to everyone else. You cant drive a car. You cant buy a ticket for a rated R movie. You cant join the military, and your body hasnt even finished going through its adolescent growing stages, and you are thinking of marriage?
I know it's a really happy though to you right now, but i'm nervous for you that it will go to both of your heads, and you will be trapped into thinking, I HAVE TO GET MARRIED.
Listen, there is absolutely nothing wrong with marriage. It's the most beautiful thing in the world IMO (most of the time). But man...You have never even been with a WOMAN before. Your girlfriend is just that. A YOUNG GIRL.
I know this is really fun for you right now, but I really hope you don't both end up convincing eachother you have to get married when you turn 18. You are barely teenagers. Your not even close to being adults...I don't care how mature you are, 15 is 15. I'm not saying marriage is a mistake what so ever, but dont make the mistake of manifesting up in your mind that you two HAVE to make this committment, when you have never known anyone else.
By the way...Every girl I have dated at one point has been the love of my life at some point. (well...uhh....some...others were just for fun =)..)
Anways...After I broke up with one I was really into, I would meet another a couple months later who was 10x's better. Then i'd break up with her, and a couple months later meet another who was 20 x's better.....
Do you get my point?
I dont believe in "TRUE LOVE". Right now I am in the most fantastic relationship in my life, and I have never been more happy. Really...Its really hard to describe. Would I be absolutely devestated if we broke up? Sure...Prolly for a long time....But at no point would I ever say, ohh no, I lost it all, and will never have it again....
Odds are, with the 3 billion or so other women on the planet, i'm pretty sure I could find someone just as good, if not even better.
dont limit yourself until you've played in other bushes.....Some will be filled with thorns....Others with candy......But most are just a lot of fun....
15.....maybe bushes is too early lmfao

At 15 years old, you shouldnt even be thinking about that.
Listen carefully.
Your thought process should be like this (at least mine was at your age).
1- Who do I know that drives?
2- Where can I get beer, or who do I know that can get my beer?
3- Who can I try and mess around with?
4- How much I hate freshmen year of high school
5- As a sophmore, can I possibly get playing time on Varsity
6- Naked Girls
7- food
and so on and so on............

Hence my saying I was flame-baiting. Its amazing, I start a "Spitfires SUCK!" thread and its immidiately flame-baiting, but I shout "IM FLAME BAITING" and everyone doesnt believe me, lol.
And Cav, of COURSE im entertaining the idea. Theres no point in wasting time in a relationship if you cannot see any future in it. So of course its a THOUGHT. But nothing more.

2- I hate beer, and alcohol in general. Yes, ive had it, and I hate it.
3- Already got someone to mess around with
4- I actually liked my freshman year
5- We have ONE male varisty team, and I dont fancy football in this state
6- Ive got an on-call naked girl already
7- she comes with food too.

I would like to know that i'm not wasting both.

Let me guess, nobody else can understand the depths of your feeling. She's different...
You know all those 18 year old divorcees, bitter about life? They felt exactly the same way you do right now. When I was 16, I realized that 15 year old me was a handsomehunk. When I was 17, I realized that 16 year old me was a *******. When I was 18, I realized that 17 year old me was an idiot, etc.
It starts to slow down as you get older, but I don't think it fully stops.

This is my last post in the thread...Do what you want, whatever makes you happy. I just hope you both dont convince yourselves that this is what you HAVE to do.
And the reason I laugh is because of your age. I've seen you on the forums for years, and I know your a bright, and very mature kid. Prolly more so than a lot of people your age, and a lot of people older than you. I also dont doubt that you most likely know how to treat a girl right. You understand whats important in a relationship. It's thats a good thing, and prolly something most people my age haven't come close to grasping....
That said...I laugh because as intelligent, friendly and mature as you appear to be, you still have no idea about this idea you are entertaining. As mature as you are, you are still a very young boy. I bet you do very well with adults in person, but it still provides no real understanding of the different social and emotional relationships that adults practice, compared to the social and emotional level that adolescents practice. 5 years from now when you look back on 15 years of age, it will blow your mind....10 years from that, and so on and so on...
Listen man....Have fun, just dont ever convince yourself that you have to do something, when you really haven't experienced anything "adult", nor mature relationship.

Good grief, guys, the kid's 15! He's got a high school sweetheart, they're in looooove... "It's gonna last forever," the world is their oyster, they talk on the phone for more time than AXER plays this game. They're HAPPY. Don't you grouches remember what that feels like :D
Why's everyone giving him such a hard time? Don't you think he can figure things out for himself? Or that the world will give him a lesson or two when needed, just as it did for all of us? I doubt he'll get to choose the cards he's dealt, you know! ;)
Sheesh. Save the marriage counseling :rofl he's a kid - going through some High Times.
Enjoy it while you have it, Serenity. However long that may be :aok

But, it is "food for thought" there Serenity....if your state laws say that 16 is the age of concent and your birthday is before your girlfriend's then having sex with her, in any form, after your 16th birthday and while she is still 15 could get you charged with statutory rape.

15 .. hormones without much in the way of control.
(no really .. the physical controls aren't even built yet)
