So I upped a Spit V looking for a bit more of a challenge, find a furball and quickly bag a kill. Extend, grab a little alt (5k) move back to the fight where I see a lone friendly being chased by 4 unfriendlies on the deck. I know the odds aren't very good if I join the fight and get caught up in a turn fight as I can see a bunch of other baddies on the way hungry for a rape. But whatever, I zoom in there and my windscreen fills with the icons of 4 bad guys.
The following proceeded to occur within 3-4 seconds:
I squeeze the trigger firing off all guns tagging 2 guys and getting "Kill#2". Now, my plane and the 3 bad guys are all within D400 of one another and I've just over shot two of the three remaining planes. I'm thinking I still have enough speed to make an escape from the 2 behind me while still getting into a position for a shot at the single remaining in front who is now under D200. I watch as tracers erupt from behind me and their rounds strike their pal in front of me and "Kill#3", "Kill#4" come up on my display. Now I pull the trigger again and saw the wing off the final guy in front of me and he quickly flops into the water, "Kill#5".
Now completely clear, heading to friendly territory I extend, grab some alt, go back into the fight, get 2 more kills and land my Spit V for 7.
The AH gods were definitely on my side that flight. Life is good.
Anyone else have a good flight to share?

I remember taking off one day while under attack and having my landing gear shot out before liftoff so when I skidded to a halt I hit the end sortie button and landed 4 proxy kills from the guys competing to vulch me and crashing...:)
It was great fun on 200..:aok

Now that I'd have paid money to see (and hear)............seriously funny...

In me Hurri 2C I've climbed into tank town about 8 k passing V2. There's 5 bad guys headed my way on dar when I see's the nearest dot is a flight of B17's low at about 3k. I wing over dive and kill left drone. I'm not watching dar now but extend forward loop over for another pass. As I dive in again 4 bad guys, all P51's fly past me for said B17's. I gets 3 of them in as many squeezes of the trigger and then I get the remaining B17. I think the B17 got the lead P51 before his drone blew up. :D

This happened awhile back.
Although this won't impress most of you, I'm terrible in fighters and was quite proud of myself.
A distress call came on the vox from one of my squadies. He was RTB with damage and had 3 bogeys hot on his trail. He was about 10 miles out and screaming thru the canyon trying to outrun his pursuers but losing ground fast.
I quickly up a 109, extend slightly off the runway, then dive into the canyon and head straight for my buddy. Our closing speed was easlily over 600 mph by the time I see him at d3.0k.
I am level, head-on with my squadie and see the conga line of tangos behind him. I scream past him, slide left and get a 3 round HO kill on first bogey. I slide right, second HO kill shot. Finally slide back left for 3rd and final HO kill shot. Woo hoo-in just under 5 seconds my buddy is saved and I have killed 3 bogeys on one pass to save his kills.
I am so proud of myself and then my buddy starts thanking and praising me for the save. I thank him for the compliments and start to re-count what I did to save him. Big mistake-I was so wrapped up in my brilliant maneuver, I forget that I am still flying.
BOOOOM!!! I crash, spectacularly I might add, into the canyon wall.
Moral of the story-don't forget to keep looking forward while patting yourself on the back.

Over tank town in a 202 once just goofing off I guess a squad ended their mission right below me. Suddenly I had 9 kills as fast as the screen could scroll. When I landed I had 10 kills. Everyone was real impressed when I said no rearms:D

I've been in a raging furball in an F4U-4 with a quintent of scalps and am extending out, circling to regain my altitude. There's a LOT of red out there, however most of it's lower than me, and in Der Uberhoggen I'm not too concerned about getting boxed in.
As I'm climbing out I see a friendly running hard with three Spits on his six and pilot wounded. I have altitude, so turn that way and enter a shallow dive.
As I close in, I fire off a burst and the trailing Spitfire evaporates. #2 sees me before I can get a shot and breaks off. I let him go. #3 stays on his target, either fixated or he thinks he can finish him off before I'm in range. Finally, just before I have a shot, the Spit pulls up hard. I go after him, and we enter a sharp turning looping/turning fight that eventually ends up on the deck. By this time my flaps are out and after several shallow wingovers finally get around on the Spit. He tries to go vertical again, and I dump flaps the rest of the way and haul my nose up and fire. The Spit's wing pops off and he spins in.
There were a handful of low bandits at the extreme edge of icon range by the time I entered the fight against the spit, so I punch WEP and clear my flaps quick as I can, however none of them followed me when I went against the Spit. Low on gas and ammo I haul out of the engagement area.
Then there was catching shreck and his cherry-picking 262 flatfooted with a full WEP dive from 15k while he was scooting along at 5k trying to chase down another Rook. The best part? He never even saw me coming. :t

how many perk points did you receive?

Killing a 262 is not how many perks you get, but how many the other player looses. :t

Yup just the other day i was in my -4 over TT being the only rook around, the knights and bish were fighting each other pretty heavy so i decide to jump in, the first pass i catch 2 going strait up one trying to rope the other i swing in and kill them both in their climb.
Then i start clearing sixes by killing the chasee and then the chasser, all in all I went back home with a solid 11 Victories within 10 minutes.

It was a cold winter's night, back in '04... the fire was cracklin, the cocoa was steaming hot when all of a sudden.... ahhhhh nevermind :D
-
I got 2.5 perks. And that's WITH the B-24, Boston, and Ki-84 I'd already flames on that run. :p

I used to have a lot of fun winging up with Lazerus, Misfit, et al, back a few years ago on our oft-ill-fated 110 missions :)
I don't think we ever accomplished anything besides everyone dying, but it was always a hoot :aok
Then there were those nights Lazerus and I would wing up in Tempests, wanting to vulch, and end up taking down the field ack in them while everyone else twiddled their thumbs :D
I miss flying with those guys. They should probably STOP BY ONCE IN AWHILE  I'd even pull the G-2 out of mothballs for the occasion :)
-
Few weeks ago I took out the same 262 twice in 5 minutes while in a fieldgun. Had a good chuckle.
-
A couple years back I was winging with Birdo. We were in Spit 9's. We came across co-alt Spits. Birdo was shot down by Bodhi. I reversed, dipped and came up underneath Bodhi, dispatching him. I then had to reverse again, and did the same to the next Spit. Within 10 seconds I had shot down both Bodhi and Leviathn. They both <
>'d me.
It's good to know "I'm not good enough".

with the "new" (which some will debate) score system, I was quite blessed yesterday.. I upped off the CV in my A1 and flew to a vbase that was getting mugged, there was a P51, a Dora, a F4, and a nik. I dove in on the 190, pinged him a few times, no damage, he extended far far away onward to greater things, nex thing I know the F4 is right below me, slipt Sd down and killed him, upon exiting I put a few rounds into the 51 as he tries for the HO.. at this point im low on alt and E so I just continue back towards my CV.. with one kill...
on the way, I get a second and 3rd kill for.. unknown reasons.. then as im buzz the carrier to swing around and land... somebody tries to vulch me and the CV ack kills him.. kill #4...
not bad for shooting less than 300 rounds:aok

Good to know you aren't dwelling on that at all. Could have really damaged your psyche, causing you to bring it up every chance you get. ;)

I was being dogged by a fighter tight on my six......I am racing back to the Vbase we just took, calling for assistance.
One of my squaddies (flying a 110) heads my way......communicating on radio, I fly to him HO......With proper warning, I pull hard up, calling for him to open up with the 20 and 30 mm cannons.... A stream of tracers pass under me, directly into the nose of the pursuing fighter. Needless to say, it was instant evaporation, and quite rewarding to watch out my 6.
-
my best fight so far is 5 to 1
p38s and p51s what where they thinking i was in my hurri2c at 10 k
they started with alt advantage, but every one of them died.
just one of those very very rare days where i was spot on.

You said 4 baddies chasing a friendly.....in fact, you dive in on 4 baddies killing 2. (leaves 2). Magically, it somehow actually leaves 3, 2 of whom are behind you. One amazingly shoots down his buddy. (Of course, killshooter would normally have caused the shooter to be shot down) Somehow, again magically, two planes go down on the single killshooter incident (that somehow killed the shooter and victim), leaving the other guy in front of you who instantly dies to your weapons. Thus, with 5 kills, you land 7.
And then.......................yo u woke up.
:aok
It was pretty clear to me. He already had one kill in his sortie. He dove down into 4 cons, 2 in front and 2 behind. He "tagged" 2, but only one died (being kill #2 of this sortie), leaving the second plane wounded, but still in front. Both planes behind fired past him, hitting the wounded but still flying enemy (friendly for them) in front, and therefore both die to killshooter (#3 and #4 of the sortie). This leaves his 6 clear, and he kills the wounded bird in front (#5 of the sortie).
So the "4 in 4 seconds" of his title were the 2nd through 5th kills of his sortie.
He kills two more before heading back to base, landing a total of 7 kills.
Try re-reading. See? :aok

What post are you referring to? Must have been some forgery.

I distinctly recall diving my MkI Hurri into a fight to help a buddy, who's got 7 rooks on him. Well, long story short, he died right as I got there, then I'm stuck with all 7...well, being in a HurrimkI, I'm supremely confident I can outturn them all, so I just kept circling...ran 3 into the ground, and killed the other 5 with every bit of ammo I had...then I was RTB and got picked by a temp....good fun that was.

skuzzy told all them parties to knock it off. I have been very patient

about 2 months ago, i was flying a Yak 9U, well I shot someone down and got Kill #1, then I shot down someone else on the same sortie and got kill #1 again,
I didn't think of a screen shot, and someone shot me down when I was landing it, wonder what would've happened.
-
couple years back i caught a P51 mission upping right when i was about to vulch....2 quick passes, 19 kills landed. i survived a 8+vs1 in a spit once and landed 8 kills. just got lucky..plus u never complete a turn!
-
I remember once when my sqdmate flew into an enemy base (kill radar or something i cant recall) and came out with a huge horde on his six. A mix of la's, spit's, p51's, etc etc. I was in a P47 with rockets above them all. I dove in, got within 600 of the last guy, let the rkts fly, switched to all guns, and held the trigger down :lol . They all scattered in all sorts of directions. It was so funny, and I also was able to pick up 3 kills :rofl .

Did it again the other night. 4 planes chasing a bomber, I was in a Spit XIV took out 3 in one pass, overshot the forth who gave me a pilot wound as I went by.
On the same flight over water right on the deck and under 200mph, took out the tail on a P51, he skidded into the water and got a ditch..... No kill for Moter :-( Talk about lucky.

I've had a few fun ones myself, but in bombers.
I was out bombing a base with b17's hitting ords and fuel. On my last pass I noticed a bunch of planes sitting on the re-arm pad and I had no idea why, so i dropped a 500lber on them.....13 kills
Took a 234 out to hit a CV. Dropped my bombs on it and got 1 kill. Turned around to go home and saw 2 262's and a 163 coming. Fired the ratos and ran like heck.but they caught up. the first 262 came up on my 6 so I opened up with the 20mm and took his wing off. second 262 did the same only he died faster when I out 20mm's into his cockpit and he exploded. Then the 163 came in. Short burst with the 20mm and he exploded. thats 4 kills. When I was almost back to base another 262 came in and dove on me. I cut the throttle and pulled up when he was 600 out and he went flying by. did this another 3 times untill he finally figured it out and shot my left wing off.

TO Vudak:
Misfit is flying Il2 last I saw with Wotan, Lazerus, well I think he is busy making babies?

Was flying a formation of ar234's once. Ran out of fuel and landed at an enemy base that was deacked. Landed off the runway but with the tail cannons aimed directly at the runway spawn point. Got a number of kills shooting guys trying to take off, with my ar234 tail cannons. I laughed so hard I almost died. It was good fun.

Yip, I agree. That's one of those situations where after the incident you sit there thinking, "damn, I wish I had the film running". If only you could see these things happening in advance! :aok

Got shot down and punched out over the base. As I was standing there plunking with my 45 a flight of bombers flew low over the field and the drones augered in. Got two proxy kills. There is some justice after all.
