Post by: Gianlupo on September 01, 2007, 02:55:57 PM: I had 2 CTDs, today, unfortunately. I hoped patch had solved this issue. First time I was in K4, zoom climbing on a Lanc, second time I was in Seafire diving on a B24. Both time the game crashed when I opened fire. I have movies, I'll send them to HTC.

I had filmed a several sorties. As long as no buffs were involved, everything was fine.

BTW all my CTD's before last patch had formation buffs involved too.

I had filmed for a couple of hours, too, before the CTDs happened. And, Lusche, I had attacked other bomber formations, I think with a high speed dive... and none of my CTDs with 2.110 involved bombers :P Tomorrow I'll send the movies to HTC, office is closed until Tuesday, anyway.

Post by: Tachus on September 02, 2007, 03:45:13 PM: I made at least one high speed time on a bomber formation (B17's) while filming without a crash, since the patch. (Again, not a lot of flight time since the patch, but no CTD yet)

The CTD's I had before the patch were all filming, but only 1 involved bombers.

Perhaps they have it "mostly" fixed :)

I'm getting ready to get online now, so I'll do a post later tonight.

Post by: Tachus on September 02, 2007, 06:06:07 PM: Just finished about more 2 hours of flight time. I recorded all of my fights, and I had NO CTD's

I did not engage any bombers, but I was flying a 51D so I had allot of high speed dives.

Seems like my CTD problem was fixed by this patch.

Post by: Tabasco on September 03, 2007, 12:57:40 PM: Was just in a pony attacking the rear of six B-17 formations. Shot one plane down, looped around, shot the wing off the second, and as I started on the third plane (before the second kill registered), instant CTD. I was filming at the time.

BTW, film viewer still crashes. Screen freezes, then the 'encountered an error and needs to close' appears. Not all but most of the new films crash. There's always that brief screen freeze when something is loading, like ground details when I get low, but it seems to crash now when *something* is trying to load but can't. NONE of the films made before the last update crash.

Post by: Greebo on September 03, 2007, 04:04:28 PM: Since the last patch I've had two lockups. Both times I was in a furball and the program hung with the sound looping.

I could then hit the Windows key and bring up the taskbar and start menu and halt AH. I've not had a lockup with this 9 month old PC until this patch.

I'm getting a fair bit of stuttering too, since I installed the latest high res pack. Was OK with the old high res pack though.

PC has a 6600 CPU, 6600 GTX video, 2 GB RAM, Audigy soundcard and Win XP.

When I get time I'll have a look to see if any settings were altered with the new patches, I've not altered anything myself.

What "new films" are you talking about? Movies made after v. 2.11 patch 1? I ask because Sudz clearly stated in this thread (http://forums.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=213373) that movies recorded post 2.110 and before 2.111 wouldn't be playable, despite the fix to the Film Viewer. Those movies will always crash the Viewer.

Edit: Probably mentioned already, but when your watching a film and zoom in, the FOV slider doesn't work anymore.

As for the FOV, yes, it's been already mentioned, but I don't know if HTC is gonna fix it with next patch.

But would be nice when I can finally resume filming my combats.
