i just want a bi-plane in here and this one has use!
it was used in WWII also!

yea, we should have sword fish, mahi-mahi, tuna, and marlin. That way I can do some fishin in my PT boat while waitin' for the enemy CV to spawn. But no sharks, they're mean.;)

It was actually so slow and pathetic none of the Axis navies could really calibrate their guns for it. It must have looked like a hot air balloon coming in. And since they were so slow they operated them at night too, since they were "so slow" you really couldnt get lost in them because you never really got anywheres.
Still the thing wreaked a lot of havoc in the war. Bismarck and Taranto come immediatly to mind. But they sunk a whole lot of different kind of ships.
I say throw them in there. Maybe all the AH naval guns are calibrated for the KI-67 and the ballons will make it thru.:D

hehehe finally i suggest something that no one says no too
-
NOOOOO
just joking, anyway, biplanes would be a nice addition, albeit slow and obsolete yet still a fine addition.
-
This one has the prerequisite round engine to go with them two wings. I have heard HT doesn't like biplanes. It may be difficult to get one. I do like the Swordfish though, handsome airplane.:aok

the swordfish wern't able to sink the Bismarck. 2 torpedo's hit, one to the hull which, due to the armor, caused minimal damage (*coughNONEcough*)
and one which was barely able to graze off a chunk of one of the rudders. It was the brittish fleet that was sent after them after the air barrage that sunk em d:
I'm all for the bi-plane though. I think it'd be a blast...great lure to so you could get a gooner into a base :] you'd have just about everyone wantin the "easy kill"

1 ping from a 50call and BOOM! :lol Would be interesting to see this added.

Unless it hits something vital, 1 ping from a 50CAL gives you two half inch holes in the fabric.

The RN weren't sure before the first Swordfish attack whether they had spotted the Bismarck or the shallower draught Prinz Eugen. So they set the torpedoes to a compromise run depth before launching. This is why the torp hit the Bismarck's armour belt rather than below it.
The second attack was flown in a force 9 gale. The Ark Royal's deck was taking water forward and the stern was rising and falling 60-70 feet. No other carrier aircraft of the time would have been able to get off the deck, let alone launch an attack. All but one Swordfish made a safe landing.
The hit on the Bismarck's rudder jammed it and it was this that let the rest of the fleet catch up and sink it. At Taranto the RN used duplex fused torpedoes. These could either explode on contact or below the hull with a magnetic fuse. Some of these put 30 foot holes in the bottom of the Italian battleships.
Having said all that it would be a bit pointless to intoduce the Swordfish to AH. It would be cannon fodder in the MA, even in EW, and there's not really any scenarios it would be any good for either. The only big action it fought against aerial opposition was the Channel dash, where six Swordfish went up against 40 ships and around 60 LW fighters.
If you want a good RN attack plane, go for the Fairey Firefly. Four Hispanoes and Fowler flaps, it could outturn a Zero.

Much as I respect the big brass ones that the pilots of the swordfish must've had, the swordfish would really be a hanger queen in AH.
If you are looking for biplanes to model for AH, there are much better candidates:
Gloster Gladiator
Fiat CR.42
Polikarpov I-153
There are just so many planes that could be brought to AH before we start into the biplanes. Given the huge amount of time it takes to model and skin a new ride, I can't see spending the time on biplanes when so many other historically important rides are still waiting to be modeled.
