ever since the B-25 came out, when i fly the 109s, the 30mm cannon seem to have less effect than before. before the patch, a single 30mm in a P-51D would blow it apart when it impact in the cockpit.
after the patch, i did again and all the pony got was a oil leak, i was like :huh  . i compared the 2 impacts in the film viewer and the bullet shell hit the EXACT same place.
unfortunately, i lostthe film in a er..... accident... while deleting.....stuff...:o :D

Have landed a 30mm hit on an F6 (from a 262, might be an off chance for more than a round hitting), but don't have film either. The F6 flew along, and I had to hit it a second time to kill it.
The F6F was already damaged (oil, fuel, and an aileron IIRC) before first hitting it.

Where did you hit him Moot? I have seen F6's take a tater to the bell and keep flying.

It was as dark as AH gets and the hits happened at the corner of the screen, so I didn't see where they were.
I think I've had F6Fs survive single 108s before, a few times I think, but never when they were already peppered as this one was.

I have also noticed a decrease in the lethality of the Mk 108.

I have noticed that Lancs seem remarkably able to withstand hits at close range on control surfaces.
I would suspect that multiple hits along the outer tail section should render more damage than merely removing a rudder.

I upped a 109K-4 with the tater tosser, and I noticed that lancs do not fold at the wings as nicely as they used to. Any onle else notice this?
