Was the defeat of Michigan by an unranked I - AA team the worst college football loss in  history?

What do you think?

Boise St. vs. OU was the best loss in history.

I prefer to think of it as the greatest win.

Congrats ASU!

Why do big names play unknowns like that?  Seems like a losing proposition for the big names even if they win as expected.

it is designed to be like an exhibition match or preseason. everyone does it in almost every sport. all of my high school teams would do similar things. It helps work out a few issues and build confidence. That is, unless of course you lose....which isn't supposed to happen.ever.

As the saying goes. "On any given Sunday"

Just get rid of the whole Ranking thing altogether.

Its largely based on opinion anyway

My TCU Horned Frogs put a good ol' Texas azzwhipping on #7 OU back in '05.
It don't get much better than that.

PSU vs. Michigan 2005.  Penn State had a pretty good game, but let michigan get out of control.  Michigan was within a touchdown on the score board.

Michigan drove all the way into the red zone, and could not get any points.  But the refs issued a bogus call, put 2 seconds on the clock when it had run out, and let Michigan win the game.

This gave Penn State their one and ONLY loss during a near perfect season following an absolutely horrible season.  Had this not happened, PSU would have been one of three undefeated teams at the end of the year, and MAY have been given a chance at the College Championship, the rose bowl.  Instead, they were given a shot at the Orange Bowl, and barely eeked out a win.

The ranking means nothing.  However, the BCS system needs to be canned ASAP, and replaced with a playoff system.  All the little playoff games can retain sponsorship rights.  But it will all lead to the rose bowl.

I like 'em both. Is that so wrong? Never been to a UNT game but they got embarrassed Saturday. Maybe Coach Dodge can recruit some bigger players. He's too small to compete right now.
Been to a LOT of TCU games. They kicked some Baylor rearend. Go Frogs!

ASU was the 1-AA national champion the past 2 years in a row. Michigan should have been ready.

SEC sucks, Cal Hippies whupped the Vols.

I was watching a bit of it on TV the other night.  What happened with that guy who appeared to have a neck injury?

When his boy gets there, that'll help a bunch.
