For some reason when I play online I'm getting an average of about 40 frps but everyone I see in the sky is warping... But in offline play, I can fly around with out any warping from me or the other planes.
I have talked to my ISP and for some reason they tell me its not a problem on their side, so would anybody have a clue to what is the problem?
Thanks.:aok
OS: Windows Vista
Hard Drive: 500GB

I don't think the offline drones would warp.
-
Could you do a pingplotter, and a dxdiag (need the first 3rd posted here).
Cheers fella,
Wurzel

That's the standard answer from any provider everywhere in the world. ;)
Do as gpwurzel said: Post Pingplot & DXdiag here.

Pingplotter should be run against 206.16.60.39......let it run for a few mins so you get a true reading, you can take a pic from it and slap it up in here m8...
Ping Plotter Download (http://www.pingplotter.com/download.html)
For the DXDIAG, if you can post the first 1/3rd of it, that contains the pertinent information.....
(Sorry for taking a while to reply, at work n a bit busy...doh!!)

That link wont work fella, as its directed to your c: drive.......if you highlight the dxdiag, edit, copy then paste it into this thread. Cheers,

Also, note your running Vista...I'm not as proficient on Vista as others here (refuse to install it as its, in a word, bloatware...lol..), but you could have a read through Skuzzy's sticky at the top of the tech support forum as well m8....
Wurzel
-
Yeah, I have. But I don't think it made any difference (though I still did it)...
-
Oki doki.....just doing some digging to see if I can find out what the best drivers are for AH etc...gimme a sec or 2
Wurzel
-
Ok thank you very much. Just let me know when you want to find out about that ping plot.
-
from what I can find fella, it could well be your drivers. I'd wait till Skuzzy chimes in tho, as i'm not a driver bod. Could well be that the drivers you have (despite being newer) arent as efficient (basic search says omega drivers are the way to go for nvidia cards, but havent as yet found which ones would work best with your gbforce 6150 le). I'll do some more digging when I get home, as just going offshift now. Good luck,
Wurzel
-
Ok thank you very much! I think you would be very much correct there because I used to play on my laptop on the same connection, but there was no warping.
-
Would anyone also think that it would be my connection speed? At the moment my connection speed is 1500/256, which is 1.5mbps download and 256 kbps up load.
-
No, your connection speed is just fine, but we'll know more once you post your ping plotter info.
There aren't any omega drivers for vista that I would use (just yet). I'm using M$ drivers for everything. Nvidias' driver (currently) aren't working very well with my system. Same with creative labs drivers.
You will have to start shutting down programs and services to play AHII online. AHII is very graphics and CPU intensive and intolerant of programs running in the background. Vista IS bloatware, and looking at everything that's running just amazes me. But it's here to stay, so we need to figure out how to make our computers run AHII.
