PS: In pic 26 you can see 6, yes 6 beautiful Mustangs on the ground ready to escort two medium bombers. :rofl :rofl :rofl
PS: So I don't break rule whatever, its pics from Wings Over Wine Country here at Windsor, California Air Museum where I volunteer. Off the top of my head, p40's, 38's, 51's, b25's, 26's, f8f i think, etc.

nice place ya live,
me and some golf buddies drove up there a few months ago to play golf at Windsor (Great course!) and there was a Corsair flying around the airport next to the course :aok

Nice pics. I made it to that show on the Sunday. Was nice seeing the P38 fly. There was an F8f there and there was also an FM2.

EDIT: There was also a Yak-9U that was made last year (IIRC) from parts made on 1945 jigs that had been kept by the Russians (Do they ever throw anything out?). It did a fine air display and looked really good in the air.

That yak was from old parts? I though it was a brand new replica? Oh well. Did you register to become a museum member? If you did you might have seen me lol.
Best part was the 51's, 38, and 25 flybys and the 51 and the F18 winging.

It was made from new parts, but the parts were made on original 1945 jigs.
I have some shots of the F16 and P51. I'll try to post them.
I don't live in the area so I did not register. Was a fine show .
