Good article, wrag.
I thought the part about the seminar where the people pulled out their driver licenses and saw the N A Continent logo on the back (that they never knew was there) was a pretty dramatic demonstration of how this stuff is being back doored on us.
Thanks,

When we flew to Germany earlier this year, I remember a similar such moment in Frankfurt. The stewardess was giving the standard announcements, and one caught my attention. "European Union regulations state that you must remain seated until the aircraft has come to a complete stop". The 'remain seated' bit is standard schtick, but we were in Germany, since when does the European Union have laws about stuff like that?
I discussed it with my cousin, and the gist of it is that it's just one of many little examples of how a continental conglomerization (like the EU, and possibly like the org Wrag's article mentioned) sinks its tentacles into things.
Boiling a frog, folks. Boiling a frog....

Just got a new license last month and haven't looked on the back till I read this post. Kinda disturbing that we were not told it was coming.

Is the North American logo on your NC license, Swoose?

IF you want a single hologram to show any cop in any state that you have a legitimate license (forgetting they run your license on the computer, and don't need this scam), then embed an American Flag in mine.

There ain't no such **** on Texas licenses (just lost my wallet recently, had to get a new copy). I doubt there will be.

Most Americans despise the thought of one world government. Any symbol with a globe is very suspect. I wonder what could be done about it when this symbol starts appearing on the different states' driver licenses? Would there be mass license burning events? Refusal to place any car tag with such a symbol on your vehicle? Or would it even come to that or get that far? I hope the legislators can successfully have that symbol removed from the North Carolina driver license, the sooner the better.
I agree with TalonX. If we have to have something like a national ID, the holographic symbol should be an American flag. Anything otherwise is unacceptable.

Since ages. Usually they make directives and every member state has to alter their laws according to them or face punishment. The latest is the proposed ban of firearms for people under 18.

the eu is a beurocratic monster. as an example, i read that some british farmers are immigrating to nz to escape having to spend an average of two days every week doing paper work to satisfy the officious beurocrats in brussels.
the brits had enough misgivings and good sense about fully committing to the eu by retaining their currency and if the negatives of membership start to out weigh the pluses i wouldnt be surprised if they back out of it one day

Farmers have to fill in so much paperwork because they are most subsidised people in the universe. They have plenty of time to fill in paperwork because they do so little work.
There are many EU laws, they are enacted by the European parliament which is democratically elected by the people of the EU. There is nothing sinister about it.
There does seem to be a bit of :noid :noid about the hologram on the driving licence. Looking at it I can see North America, bits of South America, Australia, Asia and Europe. In fact it's a globe of the world centred on the United States.
You really have to very :noid to think that it's all part of a big plot to force a union of Canada, US and Mexico.:rofl

i wonder. the recent allowing of mexican truck commerce in the USA seems to be in that direction...

yep, but a trickle of brit farmers are setting up shop in nz even though the guaranteed prices for their products under the common agriculture policy in the eu means apparent easy money; versus no subsidies and the uncertainty of product prices which are based purely on market forces in nz.
My understanding of the reason is that theres a realisation in britain that farmers cant rely on the cap for their income forever, and that when that day comes they will still be stuck with smothering eu beurocracy and exspensive compliance regulations making it extremely hard for them to compete
