Title: A couple of carrier landings....
Post by: humble on September 08, 2007, 08:38:33 PM
I happened to flim these this morning, someone had asked on 200 about rearming a plane on CV (had seen a 38 doing it)....

CV landing #1 (P-51B) (http://www.az-dsl.com/snaphook/CVlanding.ahf)

CV landing #2 (F6F) (http://www.az-dsl.com/snaphook/CVlanding2.ahf)

1st is non carrier plane and 2nd is a "trap". Both are low fuel low alt "straight in" approaches. In some ways a circular approach is easier and so is a steeper decent...but both have other issues. both of these are very similiar profiles and fairly easy to replicate consistantly once you get it right.
