Title: Raaf P-38g?
Post by: oboe on September 09, 2007, 07:24:00 AM
Lyric1 posted this image in a different thread, and I think a camo P-38 looks very cool.   Anybody know more about these - who used them within the RAAF, how many served, etc?

http://www.adastron.com/lockheed/lightning/75sqn.htm  I guess the Australian versions are all f4's so can they be used in the game? I don't know what models the f4's were made from that(http://www.picburst.com/uploads/effdde9c37.jpg) (http://www.picburst.com) may allow them in.   (http://www.picburst.com/uploads/9cf01ab313.jpg) (http://www.picburst.com)  Well after looking some more the f4's are e models that were converted so I guess they are out.

I always thought, and had seen recently in a thread that HTC doesn't allow Recon Birds.

Which is sad. I guess you could just ask them.

I think it's a matter of whether or not the recon version still had guns that match one of the options available in the game for the fighter version.  IIRC, this is why we have some recon skins for spits and 51s.

RAAF Recce 38s were not armed.  They were standard recce Lightnings transferred over from the USAAF.
