I got the link to Fester's skinning tutorial thread, but there are no pics in it.
Anybody have a copy of it with pics still in it?
The BB archive must strip out pics?

punt - still hoping for a reply here. Fingers crossed pics are not lost.
If I get hold of it, I'll save it text AND pics....

On his thread it says that United might have it with pics, you should try to PM him.
You an also try this site. It was also made by United:Aces High Skinning (http://www.ahskinning.netfirms.com/)

Thanks Jack,
United's site is great but the pic links on Fester's tutorial are broken. I'm hoping Fester has saved them and can post them again...
I'd like to try the deforming skin trick and I think the pics would be real helpful.

i dont have the pics anymore sorry oboe.

Rats. Way back when that was first posted I thought about saving it as a Word doc with the pics. I should've done it then...
I'll just work from your description. btw, if you found any detail pics of the rivets/panel lines on the fuselage of the '38, I'd appreciate a link. I *think* my wing panels/rivets are OK but have doubts about the fusealge pod.

Heya Oboe,
I think I have that tutorial on a skinning backup of mine. Yep! 717k saved as a MS Word document named Fester Skinning Tutorial. Im almost positive this is the one you are looking for showing the "deforming" of the metal. Has several pics in it from the riveting through lighting and shading effects. If you still need it just PM me an addy and I will mail it out to ya ;)
