This is on the blog side of the NEWS, I doubt we'll see it covered in the newspapers or on the broadcast side.
I thought mcain/fingold, and the new "ethics Bill" is suppose to stop the Lobbyist from controlling govt.
Speaking of which if you haven't heard the details of this crap bill it will blow your mind.
I'll save it for another post.

Just days after the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, Hillary Clinton and several Democratic lawmakers will be getting uncomfortably cozy with moneyed interests who have stood to reap billions in post-9/11 homeland security spending,
Clinton's fundraising audience is expected to include many of the government contractors and lobbyists whose fortunes have soared in the years since the attacks, which triggered a massive government reorganization and billions in new government spending.
But that's not the only objectionable feature of the event, critics say.
For the price of a ticket -- from a $1,000 personal donation to a $25,000 bundle –- attendees will get a special treat after the luncheon:
an opportunity to participate in small, hour-long "breakout sessions" hosted by key Democratic lawmakers, many of whom chair important subcommittees on the Homeland Security committee.

Preamble should have read:
We the corporations of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union with the purse holders, insure our own existence, provide for the common defense through inflated contracts, promote our own welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
However, as s****y as it is that the Democrans are doing this, don't forget it was the Republicrats who institutionalized the lobbyist-lawmaker relationship.
I believe Skuzzy once said: We should be offered the choice of "none of the above" when voting and have it count.
Criminals all.

JBA,
If you have significant money and are willing to give it to them you have the ear of the clinton machine and by default the dem party. At least until the person laundering the money is found to be a felon in search of a pardon.
