Too many to list. Some really nice people, some of whom I've met and most who I haven't.
WMaker - he flies better drunk than I do when I'm sober :) - and the rest of the Finns!
CM Staff - events are exciting and fun, thanks!
A bunch of others - I now have friends almost everywhere, although the community has gotten larger there are still people around the world willing to spend some time with a fellow AH'er. :)

I respect the people who step up and lead and design scenarios. I can only guess at how much work goes into both, and for that I salute all of you.

I respect quite a few, for both their skill and their personal honor and attitude in playing the game. But I'll mention the one that stands out the very most for me.
It's 999000. While being, by all accounts, the very best, most deadly bomber pilot in the game, I have never, ever seen him insult, aggravate or disparage anyone after being shot down by them, nor gloat or crow about killing them, or belittle their flying skills after shooting them down.
In fact, his conduct is exeedingly polite, friendly, honorable and sincere. I enjoy his gameplay and presence so much, that when I run across an excessive amount of the all too usual cr*p that goes on over 200, I find myself wishing I would run into him, even if it means my usual death and destruction to do so. His friendly salute and banter is always refreshing.
-
I respect few others as well. Like Sketch, the CAF, The Nightmares, the AK's, Pipz, Kayara, The Nazgual, The Flying Tigers.. to name a few.
Falcon

I respect Jaxxo for his commitment of improving the game for everyone.
Seriously though, I respect those who look for a fun fight before the kill.

Many times I've received salutes then the guy gets pissy when I don't back. Couple of reasons for me not to salute.....
1) This is the main reason ......STILL IN COMBAT with other cons. I'm pissed off dying for a polite salute.
2) To busy with organising things involving a capture.
3) Your a scum bucket Ho runner reengaging when I turn away from the never ending chase. Skilless little twerps that don't deserve any kind of recognition.
4) Just plain missed it as the text buffer rolls like a telex machine.
5) Not every fight deserves a salute. (Ever had a proxy kill salute you?
6) Every fight isn't a mandatory salute...recognising skill is a different matter.
End of my input :D

Is it ok to still post a real answer?
Assuming so, my answer is this after about 4 months in:
1. Stoney74. Stoney's the CO of my squad, but more than that, he certainly instills a sense of what I think this game is about for me- taking these computer planes up and flying them in a historical and realistic manner, and have fun doing it.
2. MWL (Mole). Also a member of the squad, but I have never, ever heard MWL get in a bad mood on vox or on 200, never bad mouth, never do anything but have fun.
3. Trotter. Absolutely lethal. I get alot more kills when he's not on!
4. Widewing. Never had any interaction with Widewing, but he seems so genuinely into helping other folks online and in game. I really respect that because it's alot easier to just log on and shoot folks down without the whole 'work' aspect of it.
5. Krusty, Greebo, others. Who in their right mind takes time out of their busy day when they could be flying, and builds a skin? WTFG guys, you take the game up that much higher a level.
6. Skuzzy. I know, this sounds like a total kiss-ass, but I appreciate some guy who takes time out of his busy day to police a bunch of knucklehead 'adults' who can't refrain from insulting one another on an internet forum.

I forgot to mention that of course I understand if a guy doesnt back. Obviously if I was the one shot down he/she is probably still fighting. I know for myself its hard to get to my keyboard cause my stick and controls are right in front of me and I have everything mapped to them. And also obvious if someone kills me while Im trying to land a shot to pieces B-17 I probably wouldnt them.

I agree. The staff, trainers, and many highly rated sticks are all very helpful and polite. There are many, many fine people in this community. I must say its strange to be, so late in life, so infatuated with an on-line game. But I love playing this game, the first on-line game I ever played.
And Ive received much helpful input from AH folks and senior sticks. Thank you to all.

WOW! Thank you, Mako, I've never thought I could be on someone's list! :)
As Batfink said, I respect everyone on the game until they prove themselves not worthy of respect.
Among the others, though, I respect the most the ones who want to fight and give me a good fight... hell, no, any kind of fight! :) and they're not necessarily vets, sometimes I ran into newer players who didn't run and gave me some seconds of fun.
And, on the same level of the formers, I respect everyone who takes the time to help new players, being they trainers or not.
The list of the people is really huge, I don't want to write it down, I could forget someone and it'd not be right. You know who you are, I always have a good word for you in game. ;)

Sloehand,
I appreciate the kind words Sir ..your more than welcome to fly with tatertot and I anytime.
There are many great guys and few gals who make this a very positive fun game. These are the people who understand that in life its more important to be a "giver" then to simply look at the game and ask whats in it for ME. Its wonderful when people check their egos at the door.....and have a good time with the guy who just shot you down and made you look stupid doing it!
Guys like Shawk and Lute ALWAYS get the best of me..I find them a real challenge ...my only defence is to get on 200 and ask them is that your wife calling you!
Big to all those who put "FUN" into the game! Its a wonderful community.

Btw, Az...... full of what???
it is usually understood.
meaning whatever you want it to mean.
for some. it can be fighting words.
for others, a joke to be laughed at.
if the girl in the pic was to say that to me. my reply would be "yes and I'll give you all you want and more." meaning something entirely different. :D
ugly looking girl, I might reply "yes and you ain't getting none."
if an enemy was to say that to me. my reply would be action, meaning I'd beat it (the crap) out of him.
if a friend was to say that to me. my reply might be. " yeah so"
for an old, old friend, my reply might be "so are you" then go get beers to argue about who was more full of it, for the heck of it.:p
how is this, for a confusing answer? :D :p
