Title: JG 2 Tests new Typhoon: Analysis
Post by: Ripsnort on March 20, 2000, 12:23:00 PM
We have  determined  that the  upcoming  Typhoon  for  AH has sufficient  wing loading, and  any  wings ripping off in a dive  will determined  to be a bug.  Expect to see a few  german crosses painted on her if we  ever get the ability to use A/C skins within AH  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

beaut picture!

(but shouldn't the plane be upside down for wing loading pulling out of a dive .... :-) )
In other words the loading of people on the wing is NEGATIVE G. Turn it upside down., load them on, then you've +ve G.

Wot me, a pedant .... <grin>

Wow, that's pretty impressive.  I count 55 people visible in the picture.  (There may be even more hidden from view.)  If each person weighed 175 lbs, that is at least 9625 lbs of weight being supported.

Considering the plane weighs about 12000 lbs, 10000 lbs of people on the wings are not even as bad as a 2-g turn.
