This was brought up in another thread. Do you like Johnsons? Mercurys? Evinrudes? Hondas? what?.

I myself have a small minn-kota.:D

Some people only like the BIG johnsons.

Well personally?  I prefer the beefier Johnson's to the big Johnson's, as they really have a knack for gettin' me goin' for a fun ride.

The johnsons with the long shaft seem to work quite well. They really get down there and get some goof flow over them. add some beef to the equation and then you'll really be bustin' out some horses on that thing.

I like the Mercs  but I have to admit, I have an old 25 horse Johnson on a little runabout and it really cooks.

if I ever upgrade from my current yacht ( a 16 foot plastic canoe), i think I would go with johnsons just because every seems to like them.
