Title: Renting a vehicle with a hitch
Post by: Black Sheep on September 16, 2007, 09:46:19 PM
Anyone know of any company that does this? So far, I've found none and propbably will not. UHaul rents trailers which is the easiest and cheapest alternative though.

My prob is trying to pick up a Harley I bought in middle-western, OH. And I have a 7 hour window to make a 4 hour round trip. My cheapest and best bet so far is renting a one-way UHaul 10 ft truck. This will cost me roughly $250.

Now I could rent a car with a friend in tow for $25 + gas and incidentals, but I'd have to ride the bike back 150 miles and the weather is a factor. I'd then have to return the car to Toledo following a tour bus at 3 in the morning.... I'd rather not chance it.

Although if anyone with a trailer in the general vicinity wants to make some extra moneyand help a brotha out, I'd be all for it :)

Bah, I'll probably just rent the truck...

I doubt any car you could rent would allow towing.

Rent a pickup.
Sometimes the obvious works best. :)
