Ive already gone through:

Every teabag we have, 3 cans of chicken soup, made myself 5 milkshakes, used ALL the honey, and all of the lemons. And ate 6 pints of ice cream. Im getting desperate here! I know for sure im going over tonight, so ive only got a few hours to make it go away :cry

Why would you risk giving your girlfriend whatever infection you have?  Do you hate her or something?

She gave it to me, lol. Its nothing big anyway, just a small sore throat, but it would keep me up all night. And if I'm up all night, so is she.

Have you tried that choloseptic or whatever it is? That stuff you spray in your mouth for a sore throat

Just tell her you need a full night of hot sex to distract yourself from the pain she inflicted on you.  Will work like a charm.  Trust me..:aok

Are you sure you've tried every teabag?

Sounds like a nice case of strep. You need antibotics not soup or over the counter meds.

Er, I don't think it is, Ive had strep before. This doesnt hurt that badly, its just a nuisance.

And kermit, if thats some sort of inuendo, then no. But if youre serious, yes, I have tried every bag of tea we have in our house. We are fresh out.

Not saying it's a bad case of strep, just sounds like it to me. Could be mono too. Never know.

Well, you guys probably have more experience than me with this stuff. Normally, Id have a med-kit full of stuff, but ive had a bad year and all my high-quality, make-the-world-go-away pills and liquids have run out. Oh well, I just hope this magically disappears in the next 3 hours.

Get some Chloroseptic and spray it up your nose and snort it in.  That will get to to area that hurts and is more effective and longer lasting that way.  Hurts a little at first but fixes the problem faster.

Call me old fashioned, but a shot of whiskey works wonders. If it doesn't work after 1 shot, repeat until effective.:aok

Seriously though, the chloraceptic stuff is ok but I find that the medicated Halls cough drops work the best.

Good luck!!!!:aok

I've always found that at the first sign of a sore throat........find the strongest spirits you can and gargle with it, although no matter now bad I feel I've never broken into the 20 year old scotch.

Ive got vodka, real russian stuff, not the american Smirnoff. I normally wouldnt touch alcohol, but would a small sip help?

No you dont sip it.  You take a big gulp, gargle with it and spit it out.  Hence the reason you don't use the good stuff.

Repeat every time it comes back and within 12 hours you're cured.

Inhale DEEPLY 12 times

Guaranteed to work every time

Used to be a candy type treat that was chock full of Vitamin C. Vita C or something like that, wickedly good.

Bought two bags of it and in an hour almost had both of them eaten up

Apparently way too much vitamin C too fast makes you crap

Never crapped so much in my life back then................

we buy a spray called anginova one or two shots and the problem is gone.  I believe it is also available in lozenges.   lamentably for you we buy this product when we go to spain.  I don't know if it's available in the US.  I think one of the active ingredients is lidocaine.  is there any such thing as an apothecary in your town?    I think it markets in canada as anginovag aerosol and can be obtained from outfits like goldpharm.com while it may be useless to you for this bout you really want to keep a can around the stuff kills a sorethroat yesterday.

EWWWW! (http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/wuerg/vomit-smiley-007.gif)  I'd rather live with the sore throat than drink that swill.

Over 23 years of radio experience talkin' here...

John & Curval have it pegged...

Sore Throat (no other symptoms):  gargle with warm salt water....avoid drinking ANYTHING else for at least 15 minutes.

Sore Throat + slight cough:  Same as above, but 15 minutes later, follow up with 1 T lemon juice...with a 1 T of honey chaser.

Sore throat + High Fever:  Go to the doctor.

Thank COD the wife of 23 years is a nurse!

A sore throat??

Man-up already.

Did I miss something in the past year?  Has Hawklore been adopted by a family in Hawaii, and had a name change??
