Not even flu shots can help you these days, it's just delaying the inevitable.

This years symptoms are vomiting, nausea, sore muscles, high fever followed by what appears to be death then apparent recovery with what appears to be mental illness brought upon by high fever

The flu doesn't cause vomiting, thats intestinitis.

In my case, what caused the vomiting was three slices of tuna sammiches

Remember when we were kids and got hurt, and Dad said "rub some dirt on it, it will be fine" ??  There was a reason for that. Expose  your kids to as much crap so their bodies can build up defenses by the time their adults. :aok

Had the flu a few weeks ago. It lasted for almost two weeks and thats the longest ive had it ever. I usually have it for about 4-5 days and thats it, but this one was nasty. Not the usual kind either, but mostly a sore throat and lots of snot. Not the usual headaches and lack of energy.

Even the missus commented that i was unusually frisky but with an annoying cough.

I'll tell ya'll somthin,.... 20 years in the air force,  I got a flu shot each and every year.  and each and every year I got the flu, 3 days, 4 days, miserable.   so did other people I knew.  We always said the flu shot gave us the flu and the experts told us phewy... you probably already had the flu before you got your flu shot....Or they told us it probably wasnt the flu, just some other random bug we caught...

well now,  I've been retired since 99, I have not gotten a yearly flu shot since then. 9 years, no flu shots...  And I have never, and I mean never, since 99 gotten the flu or been sick like that since...

Actually the flu shot can give you a reaction that resebles the flu only milder. They warn the elderly that usually are the once getting it here. If you are young, fit and dont hold a vital postion of some kind they actually will tell you that you are better off not taking it and let nature and the immune system deal with the flu IF you get it.
