I am currently using a saitek x45, and for the most part have been happy with it. But it is getting old and is due for replacement.
I know some of you will recommend the ch line, but by the time I add the prices for stick, throttle and rudder things get expensive.
First of all I would like to know which rudder pedals are recommended?
Second, what is the opinion of the Thrustmaster Top gun afterburner joystick?
Seems well priced at $106.99 CA for a stick and throttle. Is it any good?
I am considering the Thrustmaster stick and throttle with a saitek rudder pedals, the combo would set me back about $300.00 CA which is less than half of a similar ch set up.

Fugitive is right...go CH and you will not be disappointed. Also, you will not be having to replace anything in a year or two.
I don't know where you priced out the CH gear, but as pointed out above, the full house CH setup is just over $300 US, and with the current exchange rate almost exactly 1:1 the price is.....just over $300 Can.
I've had my CH stuff for years and it works as well as the day I got it.

Vertex, I have a Ch Throttle, Pedals, and Yoke I'll sell you for $100 plus shipping. Kind of bulky, might run $50, I've no idea. What ever the UPS store charges to box it up and send it to you, is what I'll ask. Not a penny more.
PM me if you want them.
Here's why I'm selling:
1) I just can't get the hang of the pedals. I guess I'm too uncoordinated.
2) On my system, the toe breaks have a smidge of acctuation on them. I can't get them to read 0 (zero).
I figure this is a problem on my end not with the pedals.

So do mine but it has no affect on the game. As long as its all USB stuff it's a really good deal. Someone should jump on it soon. I myself like the fighter stick over a yoke for this game but for 100 bucks + shipping.... sure
I do have a problem with my throt hat switch tho. One of the views is not activating. Ch told me to send it in and they'll fix it for nothing even without the warranty card but it will take 2 2.5 weeks to get back.
Think I can fix it by myself?
I've got the peds inverted btw. Kinda like driving a tank. I couldn't get used to it the other way.
Tell me if this is true as well. You can use old game port peds with new usb stuff rt.? I already know my old stick and throt won't work on XP which brings up another question. Are Ch Products compatible with vista? I remember hearing they were working on it. Guess i'll check the sight myself.
