Title: 1 million Chinese-made cribs recalled

Yay!  Thank you main stream media for continuing to push the China-is-bad paranoia with sensationalist news reporting.  Don't get me wrong, China is bad, but this crib recall had nothing to do with Chinese manufacturing.  It is caused by a design flaw of a US product.  Yet all of the headlines read "Chinese-made", when it has nothing to do with the issue.

"In all three deaths, the consumer had installed the drop-rail side of the crib upside down, the CPSC said. This creates a gap in the crib that children can slide into and suffocate."

I saw all of one sentence mentioning that the cribs were made in china for
a Reading Pa company.  I'm not getting the "sensationalist" aspect of that
particular article.

     Have alot of China stock or something?

I miss the 80's where there was much less Made in China stamped on products and a whole lot more Made in the USA

"1 million Chinese-made cribs recalled" was the big headline on the main page at msnbc.com and foxnews.com at the time.  It appears that they have edited the headlines.  On cnn.com "Chinese-made cribs recalled" is headline #2 currently.

Yanno Im thinking.

All this stuff with China sending us bad stuff that has to be recalled could be one of the best things  to happen.
I seem to remember seeing an article the other day that mentioned with all the problems we are having with the Chineese imports.
People are starting to look more and more and turn more to goods with the "Made In the USA" label

As the op said, Matel is apparently claiming it was their fault and bending over to the chinese government.
