Watching the Bears/Cowboys game.
The go tot eh sidelines with Andrea Kremer
and she's talking how she notices what Grossman does when he comes to the sidelines and why he does it.
Who the frik Cares??
ONLY a woman would look for something deeper, some sort of deeper more meaningful ulterior motive of a player walking around alone on the sidelines then simply walking around alone on the sidelines.
Last week after the game she was obviously flirting with one of the players she was interviewing.
Now she's looking for deeper meanings.
My wife pulls this same crap on me.
A couple times a week I'll go outside by myself with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, Smoke a good cigar and play fetch with the dog.
I find it very relaxing
"why are you outside by yourself."
"Just relaxing and unwinding"
"Why? is there something wrong"
"there has to be something wrong for me to want to relax and unwind by myself?"
Ladies, Guys typically don't have ulterior motives for doing simple basic things like wandering off by ourselves to be alone in our thoughts.
There is no hidden agenda.
That's a woman thing
But back to the sidelines thing
I remember hearing that they are putting women on the sidelines because coaches and players are less likely to come back with rude answers to the typically stupid questions reporters like to ask.
True equality wont be reached on the sidelines until the coaches and players answer just as rudely to stupid questions women ask as they do to the ones men ask.
Really IMO I'd rather not see women reporting Football games until there are women players on football teams.
Call me old Fashioned. Call me a chauvinist. I'll proudly admit to being both.
I see nor feel no shame in it.
But it is how I feel
ARRGGGHHH!
"Romo Says when things go badly he just likes to go and be alone in his thoughts......"
Maybe she should offer him a flipping back massage!
This is FOOTBALL. Not touchy feely paddy cake!
Who cares how Romo or any one of them "feel" then things go badly.

I would enjoy Football at least 10x more if they cut out commentary completely. Especially during a college game. I don't want to see 4 D-bags sit around and talk about football, when I've just watched it for an hour and a half, and will watch it for another 90 minutes. I want to see the college bands perform.
-
I thought it was Suzie Kolber, or is that other chick on too? She's a freaking rocket scientist compared to Madden. She can play Dr Phil on the sidelines as long as the inclusion of her bits cuts down on the amount of nonsense I have to hear out of Madden. That guy runs me up a wall.
-
I enjoy what she has to say about the player's behavior on the sidelines.
Maybe you need to lighten up a bit.

That commentary is the only thing that keeps me awake when I watch a NFL game.

WTG Cowboys!
:D

Phew... I started to shake all over, even broke out in a cold sweat of dread. I thought you were referring to cheerleaders.

bah i love john madden. the older he gets the more blatantly obvious his comments get.
"they gotta get 10 yards for the first down, with out those 10 yards the whole drive is over before it starts."
that my friends is brilliant and insightful...

"You know, if he hadn't have dropped that ball, it would have been a touchdown." Thanks john.

Whay ever happened to the women is the locker room thing???
-
I wish they would give us a ppv option of getting the game with just the on field mics. How great would that be?
-
The NFL is very strict with what sideline reporters can say and who they can talk to. For example, they can't ask any player about an injury (all those injury reports you hear are relayed from the team officials). If they hear the head coach yelling at a player, they aren't allowed to repeat anything he says. In fact, once the game starts they aren't even allowed to be in the bench area.
So they can't really do any real reporting; all that's left is little prescripted interest pieces. That's why CBS finally just got rid of sideline reporters all together.

What the Eagles have to do here is score more points than the Giants...Scoring more points will allow them to be ahead at the end of the game.
-
I say let em be on the sideline if they want to. I'm one to pay attention to the smart comments and avoid the other ones. Doesn't any other guy here have the complete ability to tune a woman out and hear absolutely nothing, then just agree with her when you come back. She's happy and i don't care, back to our regularly scheduled program.
Another thing, why doesn't the network just hire strippers and put them in thongs and have them ask questions? We all know that's why they do it, ratings.

If you get a game broadcast in DD 5.1 just unplug your center channel speaker. It's like being there. You can even hear the stadium anouncer. I hope someday all games will give you the option of turning the comentators off.

Not a bad idea at all. Sort of like the SAP audio channel?

Yes, and no.
I can tune them out. My wife in particularly.
but agreeing with her. I've learned ot be very careful at to what I agree to.
I just dont pay attention entirely and wait for this actual conversation to come around again.
And I quote exactly.
Her-" You dont remember me telling you that?"
Me- "No I dont remember you ever telling me that"
Her- "I know I told you. Why dont you ever pay attention to me when I tell you something"
Me- "Well say something interesting and I will"
Followed by 3 days of peace and quiet
-
only a woman could have written such drama about the sideline events.
(gets up to get a beer while the commentators flurry on about women commentators)
edited for mis-spelling.

"Coach, do you think it was a bad move to 'go for it' on 4th and 2 on your own 40, giving them an easy feld goal just before halftime?" ............................. ............................. ............................. ............................. ............................. ..............

Why?
A better first question would be. How long you been married? LOL
Whats the worst she can do to you?
I got tired of hearing "You never listen to me when I tell you something"
So I came up with a responce that
a- Made it stop
b-Made her shut up for 3 days.
I win no matter what way I look at it
And she probably says worse things to you anyway.
