A total waste of my time and patience. I usualy just skip on smack monkeys, but you had to kill a great 1:1 fight with what looked like a decent stick, and then brag about it... That's business as usual, but then you ask for a duel... What were you thinking?
Not only is your smack the same old unimaginative and stale fact-less crap that pollutes channel 200 without any actual fun sportsmanship or challenging gameplay to show for it, but you can't even back it up in practice, nor even follow fairplay like respecting merge alts and cold merges.
I'm not editing anything and will readily admit I was ticked off that I'd let myself be ticked off by such a waste of time as your worthless smack and ACM.
AADiesel upon re-entering the MA:
AADIESEL OWNS MOOT
Indeed, you're the proud new owner of a few hundred 50cal rounds of moot's. I didn't even have to manage my E, total manhandling of ACM and gunnery was plenty to put your foot where it belonged.

durn, just d/l last night's Family Guy from megavideo...
gota wait 5 hours.
somebody watch it, and give the the play by play.
-
Low alt fields, he asks my pick of planes, I tell him to pick em himself.
He says "f4-4" which could be either F4F or F4U4, so I reply "F4U4 otr", to which he says "rgr".
We roll and he shows up in an F4F, 1k above me (my charity). He loses, obviously.
Next three rounds are F4U4s, he loses everytime, without doing anything out of the ordinary ACM you get from mediocre pilots trying to pull up their pants in a hurry when they get their tables turned in the MA.
Actualy, the only thing worth noting is him breaking the cold merge and coming in above merge alt. He still cant manage anything above average (and that's understating it) despite that.
Pure crap.
Crap like that is a dime a dozen, but I think it's relevent and not just trolling/flaming to post like this because I think it needs to be made explicit just what is different between now and "the good old days". The good old days are just an idea, when we were in em, we mostly didnt realize they'd be so extraordinary. But ask any vet around, which last night there were a whole bunch of online (Frenchy, Hajo, Octavius, Wadke, Apar, probably more that I can't recall now), and they'll tell you that barging into a good tight 1:1 happening away from everything else just so you can send one of the two straight off to the tower is pointless.
Just like suicide bombers, FH/CV furball killers (esp. ones that had lasted hours beforehand), spies and other rubbish have reduced the fun of aircombat that AH is so good at.
Speaking of spies, there's a psycho playing around in AH, with a number of accounts, .wingman-ing his targets from one account so he can target them with another account, repeatedly. It's griefing and a real PITA.

lol. that was bad. not merging cold/ HO, called moot a stall dweeb. I like how at the beginning he is saying you suck, then at the end saying he gave you crap because he didn't know who you where. Really sad, not sure why he thought he could beat you so easily, aside from just being a person who wants to run their mouth and be obnoxious. Alot of them in the MA, just the other night, I jumped behind a 51 after a attempted pick, he tried to pick someone else, I caught him, and get called a HO dweeb (mixed with a few other words).

:(

thanks for the RS link.
1st one don't really count.
2nd fight why was Diesel @ 7.4K when 6k was agreed upon merge, and why were they firing on 1st pass? (both are bad things) Was kinda sad how fast it was over.
3rd fight they Diesel was 7.5 on vis, then climbed to 10.1k pre-merge?? WTF was THAT about? Again fired on the merge (tsk tsk) and was destroyed quickly.
4th fight I saw that m00t climbed to almost 7k (tsk tsk) Diesel was 11k this time (tsk tsk) again with the HeadOn @ the merge (tsk tsk) and was again killed quicky in just a few moves.
Never once did Diesel have anything that even kinda resembled a shot on m00t (except for failed ho attempts @ the merge) and was dispatched in a couple of simple moves.
I am saddened for havin' watched that. It also begs the question "does AADiesel even understand how to duel?"
-
I can top (bottom??) that.
A week or so ago, a player I'd never heard of started smack talking after a long, very timid, 2 (for them) vs 1 (me) fight that I ended up dying in. I guess I was in a bad mood, because I gave it back, and repeatedly challenged him to try a fight, his plane, any plane, in MA (at agreed on alt/location) or DA. He wouldn't do it under any circimstances, but didn't stop smacking either.
After about 20 minutes of this (I AM ashamed I didnt just squelch him), the CO of his squad steps in and says he will go to DA. Great! (Although it does raise questions about the absolute 'nadlessness of the first guy, openly letting his CO fight for him...)
ANyway, we get to DA, and the guy wants to "fight" in the D3A, or the B5N == the one with NO FORWARD GUNS. It takes me a sec to figure out what he's saying, becuase its so absolutely unintelligible to me -- but that's what he wants to do, relying on either using the rear gun, or "making" the other guy stall. I tell him I will NOT go into the rear gun in a duel, and can't see the point of the match...
We tried one duel in 110s, but he violated the alt limit at onset and I called void. Right after that, he said his wife had accident and he had to go...and when I saw him in the MA, I was relieved to hear she was OK, only got run onto the shoulder by a logging truck.
So if anyone wants to start a non-shooting dueling league, I can get you the name of one likely volunteer!

This must be a trend b/c this has happened to me a couple of times with smack talkers. MiamiAce was telling me it happened to him the other day too. I don't get it....

lol moot WTG
Shame on you Diesel :rofl
-
the childish adults with no ACM have taken over the game. hardly anyone is a worthy opponent now, just cherry pickers, runtards etc.
sad sad state the playerbase is in. we need to startup a 'duelling academy' or something, try to teach people first off how to fight properly, but also to teach them some basic ettiquette (not jumping in on a good 1 vs 1).

Exactly my reaction.. I wasn't looking at the screen for moments at a time (e.g. when I broke the 6k ceiling, ground looped) trying to figure out "WTF was this guy thinking?"...
I think the best solution is to promote the better side of aircombat. E.g. if I see someone on a lone con, I won't spoil it for them, unless they're right about to get shot down and I need their help to fight more cons about to engage.
Once people get a taste of real, good aircombat, they mostly avoid the cheap path of least resistance.
-
diesel's a tard. has been since day one. in fact there are a few of those AA guys who are full of themselves for no real reason I can discern. I assume they must come from some other games where 12yos scream obscenities at each other instead of actually fighting.
-
Unfortunately some people can only "win" by cherry picking a good 1 vs 1. To them the "win" is more important than the fight. :(
-
It seems the 'sickness' that infected the large maps has overcome the smaller maps too.
-
AH sure has changed. To my guess, it's probably due to the increase in numbers. The "good old days", you could pick a base where only 1 or 2 cons were inbound and take off to fight them WW1 style. Much more opportunities for 1 vs 1.
The increase numbers brought "The Horde" with someone defending twisting and turning, HOing when possible trying to take as many as they can before they get shot down. On the other end, the attackers, with 5 or 6 guys rat racing to get the kill first, others cherry picking.
The behavior changed to you rarely ask anymore "are u ok", "u need help", you just come in to get your kill ... afterall, you flew from 10 minutes, the game owes you some action.
As far as the ch200 polution, sure is sad but I guess it's a reflection of our society anyway.
Yesterday I jumped on DanoDano (109 G6) in my P47-D25, and ended up getting shot down. I was owned, and had the courtesie to send a "good job". Or fighting Lucine's P51 in a Spit16. I shot him down, but he was all over me, and I survived only because I was in a Spit16. I have to give it to people like them, they didn't run their mouth insulting you, even if they owned you.
Then there's the Skyrock type. Guys with obvious skills who live in AH xxx hours a day, but that cannot behave more than "You're a liar" ... "You jumped me" ... "You a dweeb" ... "with your 5 friends and I still own you". The poor guy doesn't bring anything to our comunauty except a bad vibe.
Fester used to be like Skyrock, but man did he came around. He is a prime exemple of someone who still display extensive fighting skills but gives so much back to our comunauty with tedious work on maps/skins/training cessions.
Oh well ... who cares anyway, AH is just a game not a life's achievement. My 2 cts on the matter Moot.:)
-
Wow, just watched the film, what was AADiesel thinking. WTG m00t.
-
Damn the ONLY skills that kid has is talking smack. Even his HO's are way off target. Of course that seems to be the standard from the AA bunch. HO and run. You get any sort of angle on them and they die real quick.

Ohhh, you two are funny. You really think you can teach an adult that is acting like a spoiled little brat, anything? They are who they are in real life. They are not going to change now because we told them to. Look at all the attempts to change things. ENY, small maps, multiple arenas, AvA, etc. Nothing helps!!! The this is a game and this is only a persona is BS. Everyone is acting the same way they would act in real life. Only it comes out easier because of the anonymity of the internet.
I've been in sports all my life. Basketball for example, no matter where you play, what time, ages of the people, etc. there are always the guys that stay on the other side of the court waiting for the cherry. There are always the guys that yell foul every time they miss. And there are always the guys that will wait for the defense to set up so they can embarrass them. Since a lot of the guys I play with are also my friends, I guarantee you that this is not a persona they put up for the game only. They are like that in real life and been like this for the past 20 years.
Thinking you can change anyone or that people in a game are acting differently than in real life is just funny.

Agreed. What would the world be like if everyone chose to show the same respect no matter what form of communication is used? It's too much to ask for these days.

nice backstab Frenchy. just in case you are just doing this to hump my ankle, let me let the readers of the post in on what really happened:
I had a fellow who was hunting me,I won't say names,(ankle humper who lives to shoot you down even if it means climbing above the fight to literally pik you out of the crowd), no problem, it actually happens to our squad quite a bit. In this case, the player stated something on 200 that was a lie, it was stated to insult and I retorted. I do not mind the bantor whether insulting or not, but for you to come on here and bring my name up without including his is just as bad to our community as what you claim, "poor old skyrock" does! Now if you want to friendly PM me one day and publicly attack me the next, then you can go jump up Hub or Jaxxo's arse, better yet, go wing with Creton, birds of a feather should flock together!
I might be reacting harshly to you, but you really are way out of line, you do not know the history between that player and several in our squad, and you completely failed to mention what was said to me during the exchange!:aok
PS, he jumped in on a 1 vs 1!:aok

Frenchy, remember those 152/spit14 and 262/P47 stall fights? :lol Damned if I did run to ack to save my bacon only to come back and barely manage to survive till the next egress to mama, but I wasn't going to give up so easily :)
As virtual as it is, the game is not worth giving up to the pigs. Not as long as a few of us love virtual aircombat so much.

You are not being harsh Skyrock, you are expressing yourself in a more or less sparkling way. I'm sorry I'm hearting your feelings , but your name is the first thing that came to mind about "channel 200 pollution". You might not realizing it, but oh my god, you keep insulting people, starting chat fights over the silliest things, and that hours after hours. I came to realize that you are acting like a bully in Aces High, launching at anybody that does/say something to you. I'm not a middle school teacher trying to figure out who started what, I just notice that your name often gets associated with it.
This game has players from all skill levels. Do you think I like being cherry picked? I like when I shoot down a guy and he takes off right away in a LA7 to hunt me down. I enjoy getting caught low by 3 Spit16s and every pass is dodging a HO? Sheesh, I'm now scared to start a low dirty turnfight with someone, because I know that I have about 60 secs before a Spit16/LA7 combo shows up. Hell year I got pissed when I get shot down, but I'm not runing my mouth trying to discredit the guy's achievement.
It's ok if a Spit16 is the only thing the guy can fly to have a chance of shooting down my P47. As everything comunauty based, we all need to work in providing a nice environement where people enjoy flying, this is why we have most of us interracting with each other on this BBS, it doesn't have to be the Halo2 experience.
My first kill in Aces High was quite memorable, I was flying a n1K1 in Beta, spoted a 109G6. I was up for a ride, took all my might twisting and turning, sweat in my eyes I lined up the guy, and blew him up. Then on the radio came "you spray and pray dweeb turnfighter skillless looser" from TODD. Dam, it was an accomplishement to me, but I bruised this vet's day, and he made me feel like crap about it. Not what you are looking for when you try something new.
You have the moves, I give you that, but I do not enjoy seing you, or other players, venting you workday's frustration on others. You could be so much more than "this guy" with your skill level.
You are like this bombshell you meet at a party where you think "score!", but yet after 2 hours talking to her, you conclude "meeeh .. I'll pass".
I hope that I will see more of your ch200 looking like "good job XXX", or at least "dang, you caught me offguard" ... or even "hey, come to training I'll show you something", arther then "Let's go DA coward dweeb" so newcomers and younger generations don;t think it's "ok" to behave that way on CH200.
-
I was playing early in the day, saw you guys going at it on 200. I logon like hours later and still at it! That's a long enough grudge.
Family guy epsiode was like.. family guy meets star wars. I dont know if it was funny, possible. I'm depressed. This thread depressed me. And girls.
-
Thanks for taking the time to articulate that post Frenchy.
Rumble, if you mean me, Diesel smacked for about 2min, called for DA, I accepted, then it was about 2 more minutes max before he got his sortie done and headed to the DA.
I came back in the MA after the DA bouts and logged within 30sec. I only came back in the MA after a few hours (working, needed a break), and someone brought it up again, and I just put it to bed as best I could rather than let whoever it was that brought it up keep beating a dead horse. So all in all there was 10min max on two 5min max occasions, not an "hours long grudge".
If you're depressed, it has nothing to do with AH... AH is supposed to be fun, go take some fresh air or chase some skirts if that's what you need. I was having a blast with a good 1:1 like I used to have in AH years ago when Diesel barged in and set me off = straw + camel's back.
Make no mistake.. I take a lot of cherry picking, running, chasing for sectors, crappy ACM, bad furball tactics and strategy from the average player hordes I sometimes (can't help but) fly in, etc... all because I know that somewhere in there is a great fight waiting to happen. I don't complain about it besides one liner blue streaks on squad channel... By and large I comply with BS of all sorts and will most often fly like crap to not scare away the fish.

Good point. Moot, do you know what AADiesel you faught?
Btw....I love smack talkin with Reeb. For all that witnessed our banter, I hope you were entertained.
-
I don't. Didn't seem like the father.
I don't take back anything I've said, but if an MP or Skuzzy wants to mod this into oblivion, I'll understand (although I think posts like Frenchy's are worth keeping intact). I posted out of frustration that the sort of foul play and mindless ch200 smack I described above and others echoed was taken as the norm nowadays..
Honestly, if the vast majority of players want to make this game a cheap HO and burn ACM-less arena, I'll respectfuly delete my account and move on. I don't think that'll happen if players get to experience quality aircombat, though, and I do think more than a few of us can influence things back towards that sort of gameplay.

Frenchy, you are doing what many people end up doing in this game, you are creating a scapegoat for all that is bad on 200 when in fact you are probably assuming much about what is said because you personally do not like it. I think if you go down this path, you will fall into a category of pilots that all to often tend to jump on the bashwagon without full knowlege of what is really going on about what you see on 200. You may not like how I communicate on 200, but I can tell you now, if you think I represent the worst on 200, you need to look at what players without "name recognition" type on there.
You came on here and posted 3 or 4 quotes that were retorts to another accusations about me. He was lying and I told him so. I doubt you have ever seen me type, "Let's go to the DA coward dweeb", yet you quoted me saying that on 200. So, we get to what is really wrong about your attack here, YOU DO NOT KNOW ME OR WHAT MY REASONS ARE FOR BEING AGGRESSIVE TO CERTAIN PLAYERS. So, I suggest you get to know me better before you come on here lying, misquoting, and berating me for things of which you have NO knowlege! You are not the moral standard for the community and you should know better.
By the way, you are not hurting my feelings. :aok

PS I help many in this game, not because I feel that as a vet, I am obligated, but merely because I like being nice.....occasionally! :D

You are a little naive. I don't think many would be in disagreement with Frenchy's assessment. Just what AckAck said, Frenchy isn't citing specifics here; he merely points out that your name is often associated with the negativity that many of us notice. If you were the golden child you purport yourself to be, I should see a shining reputation associated with your name. All I see are continuous posts defending yourself with specific he/she said garbage. Where was the last accusation thread against me? Or moot? Or Frenchy? And you really shouldn't be aggressive towards any player, period.
You are not a victim, you are the problem. :/

I'm sorry Skyrock that you fail to see my point , and think that the world is against you. I will not debate this matter any further as I already had a chance to express my point, but maybe the following example from yesterday will help you illustrate better.
You were fighting 2 or 3 cons on the deck with a hurry II, and I was B&Z you with my P47. When u finally got shot down, one of the things you said was :
"pathetic help from the coward P47"
to which I answered
"It was me Skyrock, I just couldn't put my guns on you".
Notice your need to insult someone, versus my need not to make the CH200 situation worse (yet I'm not angel either). You think I backstabed you in his thread, I just think you shot yourself in the foot. I trully think you are a good guy, but I also think you are not able to control yourself in the heat of the action. You are an excellent player, thus you are in the spotlight, and should lead by example.
Will see you back in the MA, I'm sure you will get your revenge :aok

if you dont like what you hear on 200 there is a simple fix....turn it off.
Like twentyfo said him and i love to go at each other...it breaks up twentys flight back to fight again :p
but when all the banter is said and done we have no real hard feelings tward each other. So insted of coming to the bbs and saying how you dont like whats said on 200 squelch or tune it out simple. No one has forced you to tune into 200 that was your choice no one elses.

Well i disagree with you there reeb...part of playing this game is getting to interact with your friends and virtual foes...i do not consider it a strong option to condone idiots on ch 200 and say "well detune if you dont like it"...it removes part of the game dynamic and interaction..i enjoy getting hailed and by other country's and i like doing it right back...
i think it goes back to an older dedalos post who commented that there is playful banter and there is just plain harrassment and bullying and whining and that the latter seems to be more present on ch 200 then before...
as a community we should do just what has occurred on this post where veteran members of the community are expressing their dissatisfaction with poor behavior.
I guess i see your answer as akin to my neighbor blasting country music all day long and when i commented on it being offensive i get told "well you could just go inside your house and shut the door and you wouldnt hear it....or you can just turn your music way up as well... while these are both responses to bad behavior BUT they realy dont solve the problem...

I dunno sim... get a couple of rear gunners and see who can get in front of each other quickest might be kind of interesting ;)

Anyone who thinks ch 200 is a problem is worried way too much about what is typed on 200. There are many different types of people who play this game, and there will be many who find one thing offensive yet not another, and vice versa. I have been using squelch when I don't like what someone is talking about, it works very well. :aok

Good posts Frenchy and some of the others.
I can't remember who suggested it, about the "fighter academy", but IMHO something like that is really needed. . As somewhat of a new stick to this game, (getting close to a year) I can tell you it's frustrating as hell to learn ACM in this game.
I really think this little online world is pretty much nothing more than a community. A community is only as good as it's members and that can only be as good as what the members are willing to put into it.
With that said, most players in the MA's seem to have the I don't give a crap about anything but landing my 5 or 6 kills additude. As a somewhat of a newer stick to the game (going on a year) I found it very hard to learn ACM and hell I still have a long way to go.
I've never had a single min of training from any of the trainers. I tried to get some help in the P38 at one point but wasn't able to line up any help. I just ended up learning what I could on my own. I guess there are just so many players no, that trainers are few and far between. The one time I asked one of the "good" 38 sticks in the game for some tips, I got the reply.. "I'm not a trainer go to the training rooms".
So with that said, it's understandable why average players skill levels are not so great in the MA's. I've always felt, the only way to learn is to go get your arus kicked, so that's how I've learned to date.
Problem with that, is it's a long hard and discouraging road to have to take. Most people don't want to put that kind of effort into learning the game, they just want to have some fun. So in the end we end up with guys that fly nothing but spit16's and LA7's that won't fight.
So IMO the only way to solve it, is if the community (meaning vets) starts to take intrest in the newer players and helping them out. We can either sit around and complain about it, or we can do something about it.

The problem with you Skyrock is you don't keep it just to 200. Like the other night with me and you. You claimed I was trying to steal "your kill".
Reguardless of who engaged the plane first, you starting *****ing at me on vox about it, and then we went our own ways. No biggie I thought.
Then 24 hours later you find me at a furball and you start running your mouth again on vox about the same crap from the night before. This time you start telling everyone in rage how I'm a "gang tard" and a "kill stealer". If I wouldn't have squelched you, I bet you would have went on for 10 mins or more.
Sorry buddy, I know myself I can't say I don't give a little grief on 200. However I do try to keep it to country bashing in general. Like telling the Bish to bring another 30 bombers, or maybe I'll give a dweeb ride commit every so often.
So I know I have a little E-noodle from time to time, but I always try not to make it personal with any specific person. Rather I just rant on 200 for some fun to blow off a little steam, but I try to never attack anyone personally.
You on the other hand always make it a point to attack people by singling them out and harassing them. For what? Just to get your kicks off because you are drunk? You act like you are the 12 year old schoolyard bully of aces high.
Personally, I'm going to try to lay low on 200 from now on, because maybe my little bits of what I think is fun, might tick others off. One can only hope you will take this to heart and lay off the personal attacks of other players.

I'm doing my part to help clean up 200.
Last night I was defending a base, and I dove in against 5 to 1 odds..... it was BOPs squad night :D ....... I got one or two, but a tiffy comes screaming in with a bit of alt on a strait HOin pass. I tried rolling out of the way, but lets say, he was better at HOin than I was at avoiding :D
There was a few comments I made, in fun with Flac and a few others, but I never named names, and we all went our separate ways with a few All in all even tho I got trashed by a "cheap shot" its all good, we all had some fun. There is no point in me getting all wound up about a HO, nor is it really all that much fun spending the night swapping verbal jabs with a couple hundred BOPs :D
If each of us "policed" ourselves, we wouldn't have a problem :aok

Wow... that's 180 degrees the opposite of what I got. When I first joined a little over a year ago I got a lot of help and advice, still do, expect I always will. If I know something a new guy doesn't I'm more than happy to help them in the TA. Interesting that our experiences were different.
