Just curious on what everyones favorite band is. Want to know what you may be listening to as you fly. I live in America but I love the European Bands! Nightwish, Rhapsody of fire, Kamelot, and the newer ones I've found out about - Elvenking and DragonForce.
So, What's yours?
-
Hard call
What I have enjoyed the most _the last few months_ has been Maximo Park, Death Cab For Cutie and Interpol.
My list of favorite bands is in the 20s and i would never be able to pick just one.
-
Credence Clearwater Revival.
And a large amount of AC/DC.

Musical tastes do not belie age......
Zeppelin, Floyd, Dead, James Brown, Gene Krupa, Galactic, Dave Brubeck... I'll stop there. Being the owner of a DJ company ruins it for me. With ~100+ Gigs of music, not to mention videos and karaoke (all played with laptop) it makes it REALLY hard to answer that question. There is not much I wouldn't listen to.

I don't listen to music when I fly. It moves my FR from 40 down to about 10.
But TxDad just got me the microsoft version of the ipod (don't know what it's called). I loaded a whole bunch of music onto it yesterday: trapt, vivaldi, craig morgan, offspring, ella fitzgerald. Tonight I'll load george strait, frankie vallie & the four seasons, the everly brothers... and maybe the eagles.:aok

Radiohead
The Beatles

:lol
Just saw Ratdog & the Allmans in Philly in August. Great Show Keller Williams opened. Bobby plated "Help on the Way" but not Franklin"s Tower" Then in the middle of the Allmans 2nd set Bobby came out and they played it. It was great
-
Offspring
Foo Fighters
Metallica
Zepelin
AC/DC
Depends on what I'm flying and why.
-
Too many to name just one. If you were to rule out the obvious classic rock bands (Led Zep, AC/DC etc.) and other great classic groups like CCR, CSNY et al. I'd have to say my "modern" band would be...
3 Doors Down.
-
EDIT: Note this is my list. :noid
its a tie between...
Rammstein
Foo Fighters
ACDC
Metallica
The B-52's (i think they were the ones that made the song 'Loveshack' )
Floyd
Led Zeppelin
SoundGarden
Little Big Town
Montgomery Gentry
Beastie Boys
Nickelback
And alot more... :)
-
None of the above.
-
Foo Fighters (Best of you and the Pretender)
Hinder (Lips of an angel)
Nickleback (Photograph and Rockstar)
Good Charlette (The River and Belive)
Fall Out Boy (Thanks for the memorys and sugar we're goin down)
All i can think of for now

Blue Öyster Cult/Pink Floyd (tie)
That's based on both "I like their music" and "Their live performance is brilliant".
I do listen to and enjoy everything from classical to ragtime to marching bands to big band to bluegrass to country-western to rockabilly to doo-wop to well you get the picture. I like the new rock acts as well as the old ones. But, those two are definitely my favorites.
-
Anything but Country! :p

Velvet Revolver

i remember u once tried to convince me of Yes's brilliance by quoting "Tormato" lyrics.
I still think Yes's first album is their best....Bruford all over it in dynamic smatters.
Overall the really fleshed out a sound on their first try.."Bruford & Squire" re-invented the rock-rythm section and Jon Anderson's pretensions were firmly in check.
Steve Howe was a nice addition though..lol !

How much trouble has it given you? It took me forever to figure out how the software works and how to actually upload videos on the stupid thing.
I have to format an AVI into an MP4, then when I synch to the nutty thing, it has to convert again into some unknown format.
24 shows at 23 minutes each will take about 7 hours to synch to it. I just leave it go overnight and usually its done when I wake up.

I haven't tried to load any videos yet ~ only music. Actually, I think the first time I plugged it into my computer it loaded whatever videos I have on my computer automatically ~ like the one that sanjini has posted on the AH main page. I think it only took a few minutes though.
And I haven't 'figured anything out' about it yet at all, other than purchasing music. Sorry!

I think I used the built in FM radio once.
And the picture showy thing, I have a few pictures but long pictures horizontally look like crap.
I have a few songs, but mostly use it to watch shows on. I'll upload them and watch them when I have a little free time.
Wes, do you secretly want to be a penguin?

Its not a furry unless someone dresses up as one and does penguin things like eat fish, swim, and other pengiun like activities.
What are penguin activities anyway? I thought all they do is stand around and go GRRRUKUKUK
Oh, and be pirates
(http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o109/AHmeatwad/Pirate20Penguins.gif)

No meatwad. the furry fans draw pictures like this and its considered 'furry' art.... and i can go into alot more detail over what there different kind of art is (remember this is a recovering furry art fan talking here)
:(
and ROFL at the pirate penguins, bet they make better pirates then Nilsen! :noid
