How in the United States of the Offended did this get built? It seems barely possible that no one in the design or pre-construction aspect wouldnt have looked at a top down drawing and seen the resemblance and raised some questions, knowing full well SOMEONE would get their panties in a bunch over it.

The real funny part is they were built 40 years ago!

Seriously? I thought these were fairly new buildings. I must then admit to speaking before becoming informed.
Although, in my opinion, we, as a nation, were less easily offended 40 years ago so there probably wasnt as much concern about offending someone.
Try to build something like that today ....

And that is why.
40 years ago we werent worried about being PC
40 years ago not an eyebrow would have been raised over Prince Harry wearing a Nazi uniform to a costume party.
And you just KNOW that
The TV show Hogans Heros would never fly today as some oversensitive group would be "offended".
Which is amusing considering two of the main charactors were/are Jewish
John Banner AKA Sgt. Hans Schultz
Robert Clary - LeBeau
Clary in fact is a concentration camp survivor. His parents and sisters were not so lucky as all perished.
Can you imagine that show being made today?
We couldnt have it. How could we have a TV show. a Comedy no less that portrays the enemy in a comical but likeable light?
Thats another thing about that era. People had grit.
The werent the oversensitive gutless wonders we've become these days.
No everyone is worried either about "being offended"
Or "we might offend someone"
Its all about this PC thats become ever so popular
Screw dat. Toughen up instead ya little babies.
