thats not the exact number, but its a name like that, ive had the request a few times now, and a few other people ive talked to in-game have to..

I are confused:huh

into the radio so the the message shows in the text buffer rather than a pop-up box.

It is just a newbie trying to join other peoples sortie as either a gunner or observer.  If it becomes a problem with a certian player, you could squelch them also.

well what threw me off was that, after declining the offer, i checked the roster and nobody by that name was listed in the game..

I probably should have put that in the first post, oops.

Rather than asking if anyone needs a gunner some people just radomly join people without asking. Gets annoying sometimes, but a simply squelch will fix that.

P.S. SHawk loves these kind of people though :D

I think the first day I ever logged in I tried to join somebody and was denied and got a nasty PM(which I had no Ideas what a PM was) So I never tried again. I will accept a numbers guy and show them how to get shot down properly as long as I'm not giving them guns. My join requests show in the message bar so it doesn't bother me much....I'll let em ride along, but they won't learn anything useful.

I sent the requests to the Message Bar.   No more pop ups.

I believe the settings are also arena dependant, so you will need to use the .showjoin command in each arena you fly in.

That should end the popups, but I swear I get the random join popup regardless. Probably Skuzzy exacting some revenge. :noid

I like to let them join when I'm in a fighter and then spend a half hour stringing them along as to "Why doesnt {insert command here} work?" and "Why isnt my stick working?".

I know this kid your talking about. After interrupting me with about 6 join requests, which I refused, I messaged him a couple times to cut it out. He kept right on at it so I squelched him.
