One that comes to mind is lazydog2.

He is new ... still makes alot of "new" mistakes, but he is not afraid to mix it up and always comes back for more ... and that is the recipe for success IMHO.

He is in the Hired Guns and when I look at their roster ... I can remember fighting against and with a lot of those guys, and there are many in there that exhibit the "recipe for success".

I don't know about new, but for some odd reason, I managed to down AADesiel in his LA-7 while in an FM2. Either he made a bad mistake, or I may actually be getting better! In other words, he got shot down by a n00b! Go figure. I imagine it happens from time to time. I do apologize for the razzing he may recieve because of this posting, and I imagine I'll never have a safe flight again :)

Here's a hearty salute to you AADesiel from Navy061!

Slap...

Yah, Lazy is a good guy and he is making the effort. I'm trying to get him out of those fargin wildcats to work on gunnery and E management. (I blame you for his F4F fetish :D). A couple more that are making the effort, Tatour and Wild73tx. They may never make great fiter jocks...but, at least they now fly something besides bombers. :)

Finally, Black70...got the head for it...just needs more challenges.

BTW, Lazy's latest challenge is to fly the 109 and get kills without shooting head on.

Yup ... all those guys are "working" on it.

For Lazy's E management ... I have seen him in the HellCat ... great plane to work on E management.

As far as gunnery ... killing or trying to kill  with .50 cals, I think, is the best for gunnery ... cannon killing ... too easy.

Well, working with 109 as a gun platform is more than just landing hits. You really need to learn to judge your enemy's E state and what he is capable of doing and be there ahead of him. Unlike many of the other planes, you can't just push your head above the gunsight to pull lead. Learning to do it right in the 109, will make him better in whatever he choses to fly.

I just had a thrilling shootout with a guy named Traveler1 I think. He made some moves in a P-38 I didn't think the aircraft was capable of. Boy, talk about a "Dual at 14,000' ".

Overall there seems to be only two kinds of P-38 drivers. The "good" ones, and the "very good" ones. Its doesn't seem to be an aircraft that people learn on.

And its a very dangerous fighter against bombers. I feel fortunate surviving against them and the ones who fly them.

Ive had some hard times against guys with terrible rankings so it goes to show you rank means nothing.

On the other hand when you see someone barreling down on you that you know is consistently top 10 it does cause a bit of pucker.

When I was in USAF I had it explained to me many times why American pilots are so good, and NATO is so dangerous in air power. Pretty much all NATO countries are the standard of air power. Its because they put gas in the airplanes and fly them "all the time". I remember those guys flying those Phantoms 4,5,6 times a week.

And no doubt AH is no different. Put someone behind that stick enough times and they are bound to get good.

Wrong. I never compared my style to another players in the game. As far as learning is concerned. I was always "picky" as to who I practiced with. Nomak will tell you the same thing. To me, constantly asking anyone you could to go to the DA with you was considered a little to much like leg humping.

Two, three years ago it was a little different than it seems to be now. From my perspective, there are a few who call themselves the "big dogs", one being yourself. Rather back then, the "big dogs" never called themselvs that. Sure they knew it, but so did everyone else. ;)

Actually we have a whole crop of "dogs" that are up & comers.

Bison virtually singlehandedly changed the way that I fly in the main.
His desire to work on wingman tactics, and teamwork. And his single minded devotion to seeing me make it home alive made a huge change for me.
As a result I flew 3 or 4 times as much last tour, and flew better. He's
still learning a few things but he's coming along very nicely. He still has some 6 months to go so keep an eye on this one.

Optiker is very very good in his F4u-1d, now he just needs to get OUT of the TA and into the main with it. A couple of tours could see him right up with the top sticks in the F4u.

Cowboy45 has the potential to be scary good. And he's super respectful also.
As a trainer I'm used to tossing "sir's" at people. Cowboy is constantly sending them back to me. No complaints, no whines, just fly hard and enjoy it seems to be his motto.

Olds695 is pushing the year mark, but he's made big progress this last tour.
His flying is good, he's been struggling with trying to improve his shooting.
But this is one to ride the river with guys.

Some others that I see regularly in the TA

Baumer  I don't know anyone who works as hard at AH as he does. Because of his squad he tends to stay in the LW birds. But keep your eyes on this one anyway. Ohhh and he's nice people too.

WWM  Could rule the roost in a few more tours. He's like trying to wrestle a greased snake, when you think you have him he slips out of your grasp and bites you in the behind.

The truly great players of AH, the really BIG dogs don't need to feed their ego.
They've gotten past that long since.  You could learn a lot from Morph Skyrock! And I don't mean flying skill.

Morph nailed it, the really good sticks knew exactly who was capable of giving them a top notch fight in the main without taking it to the DA. And as they get better  that list keeps getting smaller and smaller. To the point where when they log in and can't find a good fight 2 or 3 days out of 4 they end up walking away.

I don't have the time to devote to becoming a "big dog". I think 40 hours is the most I flew in a tour. The down side is my aim sucks and I really don't think its going to get much better. Up side is Most fights for me are still a challenge! I don't think I will ever get to the point where my "list": of those that will give me a good fight will ever get short enough that I could get bored.

LOL!!! it's good to suck !  :D

This is a good post, and good info.

I did my time leg humping for sure, and that DA time really helped me learn, but you seem to have forgotten your time on the ankle.  :aok
Anyway, not going to get into it with you, the thread was meant in a positive light and I will keep it on that course.  Ghost gave some good info on players who are excelling above average and a few others have as well.

Ding! ding! ding!   Morph hit the nail on the head.

<----passes Jeff a cigar.>

The older I get the more I respect players who have real class as opposed to mad skillz.  Just my personal point of view of course.

Guppy comes to mind right of the top of my head.  There are many more of course.  Now a days those are the guys I consider the "Big Dogs".

Baumer.  In the two months he has been with JG11 the improvement I have seen from this fine gentleman is unbelievable.  One of the hardest working pilots I have met and and outstanding addition to the squad.  He is an excellant wingman who sticks with his lead, covers well, communicates thoroughly, and has genuine desire to succeed.  You will see alot from this pilot in the coming months.

Interesting thing about the guys on Ghosth's list --

They're all guys who spend a LOT of time in the TA, just playing tag and what not. I've never had the patience for that approach (adrenaline junky), but it would be no surprise to find them moving quickly...all that time pushing the envelope edge, practicing gunnery, high % time in "combat' situations (since no climbout or rtb), being able to pick the trainers' brains regularly, getting jumped by dissimular aircraft or higher E planes and learning the way out. Wish I didnt get antsy just flyuing around in there!

Great way to get better if you can adjsut to the slower, more relaxed pace.

I guess you never watched Johnny Mac and his Wimbelton days.

The class that he is referring to is those who get shot down ... doesn't matter by who ... who can acknowledge the winner with a compliment as opposed to smack-crap.

I would probably not enjoy this game at all if everyone went around acting like herbert milktoast at a Captain n Tennille concert too ... but I also wouldn't enjoy the game if everyone went around acting like Don Rickles with a constant barage of insults and useless smack-talk ... which this game is getting to.

Back to the question at hand ...

Don't know if he is new or what but ran into nc33 last night ... good fighter and always game ... no matter the odds.

I agree with Ghost that the really, really good sticks dont need to talk. And almost to the one I have found them all to be gentleman.

The TA is where Ive made gains with my gunning. I think the TA is a great arena. Also I think a new guy, and I speak as one, has to be unafraid to try new things and willing to make mistakes. Which are learned from. Also, I believe, you have to be willing to listen to the senior sticks and trainers.

I've been playing this game since early December last year. I don't know if I'm considered a "new" player, maybe you guys should decide. My original name was 24477, I changed it in April to TwentyFo.

Estes...I think you may be refferring to my squadmate "INexx" of The LYNCHMOB OUTLAWS. He is a great pilot, although I have no idea how long he has played. Ill run it past him.

Back 5-6 years ago, sure. If you would consider asking questions about the basics of what was a relativly newer game still, on channel 1, "leg humping". But, I personaly will not classify that as leg humping in my book.

Class and attitude don't always go hand in hand. Although there is a fine line to draw between the two. No you dont need to someone everytime. But 'ing or the like, each time you are shot down, no class.  But its the people who throw all sence of class and good nature out the window in place of the constant insults about how lucky I was to shoot someone down in a given situationthat have become more numerous than those who will just sit there take it like a man, and possibly learn a thing or two while shutting up. Ego can be a real hurdle in this game as far as learning curve is concerned.

I know talking to you is like trying to drive a finish nail into concrete. (why bother, I dont know.)

Since the criteria for nomination see a bit flexible, I'll offer this one in my own squad.

We all know scores are problematical at best for determining skill, but if you know if a guy plays it straight up, it can be an indicator of skill growth.

Bmathis has been a member of my squad since his start, and I, among others, helped show him the ropes.  He absorbed everything and quickly outpaced any training.  His skill progress has been phenomenal, IMO.

He's a month away from reaching 1 year, but check out his numbers and successes from the beginning.  Also, he plays the whole game (Vehicle, Bombers, Attack), not just planes, which are his forte'.

As further evidence of exceptional flying skill, he is the AH Extreme Racing League for Season 8, and as of tonight (it's already locked point-wise), he'll be the Season 9 Champion as well.  By a good margin.  Nobody flies an airplane as smoothly or as fast as he does, consistantly.

As for the game itself, I've never seen him backdown or hesitate to mix it up with anyone, help a countryman or squaddie, or go in against most any numbers if the mission called for it.  He doesn't sip milk or pull any shenanagins, he's just a natural pilot.

Dogg, i'm glad you tossed in Jr's name for this.

He has come really far in the 6ish months I have watched him fly  (mostly in KOTH's) and is one of the names I would toss in.

Give that kid a year more and he'll be a world beater if he keeps it up.  He's lucky to have a good teacher in his Dad, and w/ your CM'n KOTH now, he's exposed to many "top notch" sticks and flying styles.

I'm also pretty durn sure that SkyRock isn't gonna belittle 'em.  He know's better than that.  I ACTUALLY think this thread was made in good faith, and I find it an interesting subject.

I too find myself wondering who are going to be considered the "top" fighters in AcesHigh in a couple years.

I think we need a whole new category for Juniors.

AKJr certainly gets my vote no matter where you put him.
Solid stick, good guy to be in the same sky with, polite, and friendly to a fault. Plus  he kicked my tail in KOTH, take a bow Jr, you earned it.

Also in  the same category is Sondog. Son of the famous, infamous or notorious Daddog, (depending on your view) he is currently flying under some pretty severe handicaps.

Nothing after 9:00 pm, grades have to be B+ or better, homework done first, and limited hours when he is allowed to fly. Despite this and his relatively young age Sondog has been ripping up the squad h2h ladder. I know I gave up trying to fight him some 6 months ago. Combination of perfect eyesight, perfect reflexes and a very good grounding in the basics of air combat. He's probably over the 1 year edge, but he's just starting to come into his own. Also Daddog finally getting DSL isn't hurting anything either.

These guys are both good sticks, and both as eager as a pair of puppy's.
But, they do NOT have the armor to suffer the same slings and arrows as grownups. So please treat them with courtesy and respect!

What is it that you think you are doing? What is it you want to achieve with such posts? You are starting to make me feel sorry for having been in your squad, the way you are behaving. I never saw this kind of behaviour from you before, as a member of your squad, but then I never read the forums either.

Here are the films, that you requested.

Film 02 (http://hem.bredband.net/turnik/070930AvA_02.zip)
Film 03 (http://hem.bredband.net/turnik/070930AvA_03.zip)

Film 07 (http://hem.bredband.net/turnik/070930AvA_07.zip)

ENJOY!

The conversation in these films is obviously irritated, annoyed, because of some certain persons. The guys in JG11 told me to let it be the night before when Kong was on, but I can not stand people who have such bad attitude. Even if our conversation is bad at times, I think what happens in these films, and what storch is saying, speaks for itself. Especially when you take into consideration what he is posting on these boards.
The only ones in JG54 I've seen this from is storch and Kong, and as far as I'm concerned, you both are a disgrace to the name of JG54 'Grünherz' and have no right to call yourself that, or affiliate yourself with any such unit. Your attitude and way of conduct bear no resemblance to the ideals and code of conduct of the men who served in JG54.

Having said that, play whichever way you want, within the rules and limitations of this game. I don't care, and I don't call you a poor pilot or anything of the sort, your playstyle does not interest me. However when you specifically target a few individuals, going to such lengths, spending so much time harassing these people, it is taking it way too far. I have no respect for people such as yourself. You hold too much hate in your heart, and for that I feel sorry for you.

This is my personal view and does not necessarily reflect the opinion of other JG11 members.

I'd like to WildeSau, Tbarone and Tyrant for the good fights that night, and the rest of the JG54 pilots, my old squaddies.

Husky/Bear,

Your need to feel admired is reemerging the same as it did in your quest for top ranking a while back and look where that go you.  You have done a very good job at repairing the fracture that caused with the community and that is to be commended.  Most people know that you are a decent pilot so there is no need for you to be on anyone's list or have to be named as a new top dog.  These promotions are only for those who lack the confidence to know that it really doesn't matter.

This is not a whine - I really don't care - but films 06 and 07 show you guys gangbanging  me on two occasions (5 on 1).  Film 05 shows a 4 on 1 against Kuhn, with bragging afterwards ("team kill", "they're all team kills" etc).

No big deal - but I'd like to respectfully ask that you guys keep this type of thing in the MA  (not the AvA arena).

So, what do you want us to do, log off? You actually say so, go to the main arena. Let me ask you this then, what were you doing down there? Why did you allow yourself to get into that position? Well let me tell you, poor situational awareness, bad tactical decisions.

It's the truth, and you know it. So don't blame us for "gangbanging" when it's your own fault for making yourself a target.

Don't say teamkill as if it is a bad word, we work together, we try to get everyone home. So call us bad pilots if you will, we don't care. Come back when you have a squad with you, or know how to keep your E in a fight. There's a difference between a teamkill and gangbanging, you should know that. If you get yourself into that position it's nobody's but your own fault.

"They're all teamkills" and "Some people just don't get that" is a reference to that we work as a team, land kills for the squad and that some people don't get that teamwork is key to success. Don't make it into something else, if you misinterpreted it, it's only telling what category player you fit in.

That is true, but only for those who nominate themself.

If the spirit of the thread is what I believe it to be, then it is nothing more than some of us, who have been around awhile, weighing in on who we think shows promise ... not only in flying ability, but combined with attitude.

If we recognized these types of individuals more, then maybe that is what even "newer" people will aspire to be ... as opposed to the the smack-takin' snot nosed squeekers that prevailed during the summer.

As a community, we chastise and berate more than we compliment and acknowledge good behaviour ... and if this type of thread can turn the tide, then I am all for it.

I have listed 2 guys ... lazydog2 and nc33 so far ... these are the type of "new" guys that we want ... hard-nosed fighters who can take the good with the bad and when the fight is over ... there is no animosity, win or lose.

Well, you're welcome to try, but singling out a person, to hunt and specifically targeting a individual, THAT is gangbanging. We do not do that, we just shoot whoever happens to be around. If you feel that justifies you going after us specifically, well...

I'm not targeting you specifically Vort - just I'll know what to expect the next time you guys are on logged in AvA.

Actually, on second thought I'm gonna take the high road on this one:  Next time I see you guys on AvA I'll go elsewhere - otherwise I'll just be encouraging you guys in turning the AvA into another MA.  I have too much respect for the other regular AvAers (guys like dedalos, maha, oldman, storch, eagler etc) to do that.

Sham,

Come on man, that's weak.  If you want to keep the AvA an ego driven elitist dueling areana than fine.  No one here wants to turn it into another MA.  Two nights in a row, a handful of us from JG11 went in there to see if we could generate some population, in response to many requests for groups of players to try to get the areana going.  We were the only ones there.  Rather than leave so no else definelty would show, we waited, so people would see some one was in there.  We waited, and waited, finally upping some 88's and 110's and heading across the channel rather than just talking in the tower.

It worked, and both nights we ended up with approx. even 5-7, on 5-7 battles.  It was alot of fun.  Just because you happenned to be caught alone a couple times doesnt justify the insults and accusations.  Labeling...thats all some people do.  They have a label for everything.  The films prove even sides, good fighting, and no one maliciously or intentionally doing anything...but flying as a squadron.  This is the wrong thread for this discussion and would not even be here if someone hadn't jumped in a hijacked it with a chance to bash me and those who fly with me.  Whatever...he lives for that I quess, judging from how much he does it.  Yes...JG11 ups together, flys together, fights together, re-arms together and trys to make it home together.  If that's makes us the bane of "those you respect"...than damn man, that's just wrong.

All we got for trying to bring in some players was grief from a few, but mostly had a blast, as we enjoy flying against country correct foemen, rather than the hodgepodge mix of the MA.

JG11 is the embodiment of the lamest form of game play.  the individual players are weak.  if you were fighting for your real lives no one could fault you but in a game?  c'mon fellows you die you get another plane no big deal.  as always it's your money and you play as you wish but your style of play should be kept out of the AvA in my opinion.

No problem, sorry if I jumped the conclusion there. It was what it seemed like but I knew you probably didn't mean to go after us specifically. Just another tired post made when you don't care about the consequences. I have no beef with anyone in this game, but those who consistently and without reason pick on others. Fortunately, so far, that list is very very short.

500? Irrelevant or otherwise flawed question..

It is the same folk doing it over and over again and I see pretty much the same folk in this thread acting lowbred as if they speak from some moral high ground..

Everyone of us at some point in time have acted the same way including myself..

Peps with attitude like Skyrock's are nothing new to the game.. There have always been folk just like him (right or wrong) and you will find them in any online game  as in life.. And I will say it again... There have 'always' been peps that felt the desire to shout their skill.. I'm not certain where we derive these nostalgic memories of this game with the belief that once all was perfect and pure..

Prove what? That you have WAY more time on your hands to play AH now than I do? Fact is, and if you want to nitpick then fine, that you were nothing back when I was still playing and to me, you haven't changed. Just another mouth with a big ego and lots of hot air behind it.

I seriously doubt Jeff was ever "Scared" to duel anyone.

Jeff and myself have had our issues in the past ....but he was/is a great stick and an over all good guy IMHO.  At the height of his DA days he was as good as anyone.  Even if you are "Better" than him right now.... why all the boasting?  Do you really believe it proves anything?

Speaking of "Owning"  I have "Owned" you more than once in the DA.  Yet I would never even consider taking that to the BB and shoving it into your face (at least not in the context that you do).  Why? mostly out of respect for you,  Another player, another person.  Thats what I mean by class.  Why belittle people?  So if you can "Own" me now that I havnt played in ages would you treat me the same?

Mark....seriously.... I think you know that I have no real problem with you.  We have always gotten along fairly well.  I just dont really understand why all the calling out, "Owning" etc etc.....

Dave, this is how it goes for me......

I could care less if he came back to DA me or not.  I could care less if I beat the absolute smack out of him or not even though I would.....:D  Jeff does not want to be friendly to me, he has never showed any inkling of respect to me in any way, and therefore he gets absolutely none from me.  He always acted like I was second class to he and his friends and would not even blink an eye to insult me.  I am aware that he became a good stik as I have had some fights with him in the MA and I have seen some of his films, but I do not have to be nice to people who attack my real life.  He came in here and insulted the thread, insulted me, and talked crap, so he gets the onlsought!!

OWNING is game talk, and game talk ONLY!

if someone talks bull to me, I immediately start with the own thing....

if someone takes a jab at me, I immediately start with the own thing...

if I like the person and want to mess with them in a friendly way, I will start with the own thing....

No big deal......OWNING is game talk and game talk ONLY!

Also, you have noticed, I do not say "I own you" to you, just for the same reasons you stated you wouldn't say it to me.  I have beaten many people that I will never say "I own them", because it's just not that way.   Many times the game talk is nothing more than entertainment to me, as I have stated very clearly before publicly.

anyway, back to the topic.....

wow long thread, 5 pages....dang internet problems kept me away since early monday morning

bmathis, that feller is a chunk of coal that will polish into a sparkling BIG Dog diamond someday!!!!  and I can not recall him ever being rude or smack talking........

as for the "SideShow"...I have went to the DA with 3 of you:
Nomak, Morpheus and also SkyRock.........out of them 3 at different times only one of them guys beat me in some of our individual matches........and one of the 3 taught the 1 who beat me.......and I have never been a big dog,  I just a measly ole feller who likes to have fun and likes good fights, in which all of them were!!! and I like to help people when I can!

I see no reason for this sideshow to even be in this post,  Ghosth had a great  reply or 2.  and Olds and cdawgs? and a few others really strive hard and have great attitudes! ,  Jeff ( Morph ) had a very honest and good reply regarding the "old guard" or whatchamacallits" verses todays "Big Dogs"........

and kappa ( dude     is that your new gameid, kappa? ) was actually correct in his assessment of how people look at Mark ( Skyrock ) in the game and SR's actions towards others, yet try to indirectly and sometimes directly belittle him on these boards.....it truely is hypocritical......

out side of the  "SideShow" this is a good thread,

one thing about the EGO's they never make it thru the long haul.........

morph was the best i fought out of the 3 in his prime, nomak was second and skyrock was third, now skyrock got real good so i don't know what to think. I don't like the muppets because they kicked me out of their squad forum for no reason, morph threw a hissy fit when i went to the muppets so i pick nomaks side until he loses it then i am on bronks side because he is funny sometimes. thank you

And I will say it again... There have 'always' been peps that felt the desire to shout their skill.. I'm not certain where we derive these nostalgic memories of this game with the belief that once all was perfect and pure..

In the old Airwarrior days, people were a lot more mean and cynical than they are today... in fact, many of the insulting vernacular you hear today (ie "dweeb") comes from AW  - also, there was nowhere near as much a sense of "fair play" as you have today - vulching was looked at as a good thing, and "picking" was an unknown word.   In fact, just about the only thing that was frowned upon was HOing - but, that was only because old AW had no collision detection.

Finally, getting "Hate" was considered the greatest goal of all.

So yeah, anyone who thinks the "old roots" of this game were full of "fair play" and "sportsmanship" is sorely mistaken.

For the record, I far prefer today's "Knights of the Air" attitude, but I also don't knock guys like Skyrock, because his personality is the old tradition of the game.   :D

Besides - often times, guys like him rudely push a message that has hidden good (ie: negative motivation to better yourself and stop being such a know-it-all dweeb)

lolz Storch, but let me explain the term big dog.  In the south, becoming a big dog doesn't neccessarily mean that you are the best, but more of a right of passage from moving up in the ranks.  "He made up on the porch with the big dogs."  Welcoming in a new generation of fighters by bringing them up on the porch for a smoke and a beer! (cept for Jr. Dogg cause AKdogg said he would beat me up if we let Jr drink or watch pron!)hee heee j/k AKDogg:D

Anyway, if everyone would invite these fellas into the DA and help them if they need it and ask for help if you need it, and enjoy some good fights!

but why are you inviting them on the porch? paw always said " If You can't Run with the Big Dogs, better stay on the porch"  so the Big Dogs are not on the porch, the whining whimpering pups are to scared to come off the porch, still need maw's tit!

sort of the liking "just a bunch of tickturds"

or "earn your wings and soar with Eagles, or flop around fluttering with all the bunch of turkeys"

and why should it be just for the guys with 1 year or less, I would say it should be the group with 1 year to 3 years game experience, these are the one's who are in transition from the "noob" status to the "up and coming vet status"

and yes some of the 332nd has really excelled at improving, and bmathis and others optiker etc...

but the ones who are in transition of being the next group or class , I think should be  players like

TBarone,  Simiral,  Schatzi, Allison, Betty, WildSau,  amongst others.......ones who have did their one year being called newbie and stuff, yet took the time to better themselves by sacrificing any personal time to better themselves at the game with their flying ability as well as their conduct and etiquette in game and on the boards....... why should this group of "alloted time in game, be overlooked?

not taking anything away from any of the newer / less than 1 year flying time......but their are others who I feel should be recognized just the same as if not before people with just 1 year or less time in game.......

edit: and if any of you did not get my hidden message in my first post, I was trying to show that once you hit a certian level, it really does come down to who is having an off day vs who is having an on day.....at that level  sometimes a person will get their clock cleaned  and then 2 days later that person will turn around and clean the other players clock for them........so nothing really means anything as long as you all are having fun and enjoying the fights!

TC, although you are correct about your analogy, I was referring to the analogy of feeding time.  The big dogs would not let pups on the porch to eat until after they were done.  I will go with yours though!;)

Invite them to go running!!!!

as far as actualy just the flying side of this game goes, i have alot of respect for morpheus as a flyer. skyrock i would watch your tounge i did the same once along time ago about spit16 vs a6m, and he beat me to a pulp.

might agree with alot of insults to throw this way but bad flyer or ankle humper morpheus is not.

surely youre forgetting morpheus was a vet before you had finished yur two weeks.

Lazy's favorite now is the F6F, I'm trying to convert him over to the 109F/G2:D

sort of the liking "just a bunch of tickturds"

or "earn your wings and soar with Eagles, or flop around fluttering with all the bunch of turkeys"

and why should it be just for the guys with 1 year or less, I would say it should be the group with 1 year to 3 years game experience, these are the one's who are in transition from the "noob" status to the "up and coming vet status"

and yes some of the 332nd has really excelled at improving, and bmathis and others optiker etc...

but the ones who are in transition of being the next group or class , I think should be  players like

TBarone,  Simiral,  Schatzi, Allison, Betty, WildSau,  amongst others.......ones who have did their one year being called newbie and stuff, yet took the time to better themselves by sacrificing any personal time to better themselves at the game with their flying ability as well as their conduct and etiquette in game and on the boards....... why should this group of "alloted time in game, be overlooked?

not taking anything away from any of the newer / less than 1 year flying time......but their are others who I feel should be recognized just the same as if not before people with just 1 year or less time in game.......

edit: and if any of you did not get my hidden message in my first post, I was trying to show that once you hit a certian level, it really does come down to who is having an off day vs who is having an on day.....at that level  sometimes a person will get their clock cleaned  and then 2 days later that person will turn around and clean the other players clock for them........so nothing really means anything as long as you all are having fun and enjoying the fights!

nice TC! u know, i'm not looking for any recognition in here, i just had a good teacher. kermit is the one that taught me how to fly my tiff, plissken showed me how to fly bombers and how to see out that "lil dinky hole" in gv's. i think of myself as lucky to have all you guys giving advice and kermit and plissken helping me learn the game. i been playin for almost 3 years, i just like to go around lookin for a good fight :)
