Does anyone know of any tobacco less chew that is similar to texture and taste to skoal, yet doesnt have the tobacco or harmful chemicals?

My question is: Why?

If you gave up tobacco why would you want something that tasted horrid in your mouth?

If you didn't quit... I really urge you to consider it, seriously.

Mark

Anyhow, ain't tobacco the good part of chew? I ran out of cigarettes in the field one time & loved having a chew. I think everyone around me appreciated it that day too. :)

Try Big League chewing gum.:D

Cav I quit chewing (hate to say i am back doing it again).  The first time I quit there was shredded up beef jerky at I found at almost all gas stations.  I would put that in my lip and suck on that for a bit.  After a few tins I wasnt craving chew anymore.

The stuff was called Jerky Chew.  Look like a skoal can.:aok

I have been a non tobacco user for over a year now...Never plan on going back to the crap, however, as hard as it may be to believe, I actually very much enjoyed the taste of chewing tobacco and the feeling of it pouched into your lip.

Anyways, just went out to a health food store and picked up "Mint Snuff" by the Oregon Mint Company. (No Tobacco/No Nicotine)

Gonna throw in a dip...will let ya know if its ne good

This stuff actually isn't too bad...I was suprised when I opened up the tin that the contents had the texture of tar.  Looked nasty but I figured what the hell...I just went out and bought this crap, might as well try it.

Anyways, for those of you that do dip, it feels just like you have a lipper in your mouth...Taste is pretty good too.  Like a mint skoal but less powerful, mixed with a little wax.  Its also producing a good amount of spit.

Anyways, just thought i'd share incase anyone else likes dipping but doesnt want the harmful effects.

hooch snuff is about as close to the texture and taste of wintergreen that I've found. You can only order it online at http://www.hoochsnuff.com/Main.aspx.  It's a bit more minty than Skoal or Red Seal but not bad at all.  I'm planning on figuring out how they make it and perhaps making my own instead of paying for it.  I'll let you know how that project works out.

Cav I totally get what you're saying.  I like the taste and the texture and could give two !@#!%'s about the nicotine.

Give it a try

Dich i'll have to give that a try...This is good, but the only thing it is missing is the texture of finecute chewing tobacco...Like I said, this is more of a ball of tar...Don't even need to pack the tin...good though.

And I agree...CT taste good and there is something relaxing about spitting into a bottle hehe
