Title: Metalocalypse
Post by: Chairboy on October 03, 2007, 10:27:46 AM
Anyone here watch Metalocalypse?

Dëthkløk is the most powerful heavy metal band in the world, and for all intents and purposes above the law.  People die at their concerts, everything is over the top, and there's a UN-like cabal of world leaders that works to try and counter their influence.

Dëthkløk is described as the 12th largest economy in the world, and each episode is...  hard to describe.  It's fantastic.

They have cameos from all the various heavy metal bands,

Yep, it's a great show. Just wish Murderface were easier to understand. It comes on late and I hate having to blast the volume just to hear him. :)

Frisky Dingo looks to be another good one, so far.

William Murderface is my favorite.  Nathan Explosion is a close second.

That is one show that I cannot stand to watch.

Besides, do people really listen and enjoy the type of music thats on there? Sounds like a bunch of drugged up bums plucking away at guitars, and people call that music?!?

No wonder someone tried to ground a stereo with a wrench stuck in the ground, hardcore moron music kills brain cells

Retail:  $130
Street/internet:  $90

This is IMO the best headphone to own without looking too geeky.  They are portable and rugged enough to last up to 10/20 years.  There are headphones out there that are slightly better than 7506s, but costs 2x 3x more.  These headphones are widely used in American broadcasting and recording studios.  If these headphones good enough for them,, then they must be very good for consumer-grade.

This is the SONY model I revere besides my 1980s SONY 22 inch Trinitron TVs (that TV just won't DIE!)

Not one of my [as] favorites, but I loved the episode where they got to throw a Death Row concert and pick the form of death for each inmate.

Still anxiously awaiting the season premier of The Venture Brothers.
GO TEAM VENTURE!

Wifey and I were talking about something last night, and we were both in total agreement, so we held our knuckles together and she said "Go team Hallert!"  (our last name).

She's awesome.

Projector is an NEC MultiSync MT-820, picked up at surplus auction for $35

Sound system Regent HT-391, bought at a sale for $35 also

I admit its nothing fancy, but it works pretty good.  The bulb is supposed to be good for 2000 hours, shows it has about 803 hours on it in the settings.
